ok well everybody at ign just called me and idiot and my topic about this subject was locked in 30 secs. On the new PSM it says that rare is definately in development for the ps2 and that the rumoured game is perfect dark, and its says that its from a reliable source. This is on the new issue of PSM
-
reliable source=****!!
What until there\'s an official announcement...
would love to see Rare go multiplatform
-
I\'d **** my pants if it was PD:eek:
-
Perfect Dark, or Perfect Dark 2?
i wouldnt be too surprised if the original appeared on PS2 :)

that would still be kick ass:bounce:

OMG! <--- Perfect Dark Fanboy
God I loved PD. Hell my first forums were called Perfect Dark Headquarters (And i was even a moderator! :o) so go figure.
If this was true, I swear to god I would cry tears of joy.
-
well i dont think psm would say that rare is developing a ps2 game for sure if they werent absolutely sure. PSM is a great non-biased magazine so i believe them. Yeah that would be great if it was perfect dark but any 1st person shooter from rare will do.
-
PD2 on PS2, I think I just cummed :D
-
Great news if this is true. If RARE has nice sales, it will make more games for Sony\'s console... let\'s pray :p
-
As an owner of a Gamecube, and only a Gamecube, I hope it\'s not true :D
-
shockwaves ---> selfish person
:D
-
And your at a PS2forum why?
-
Because Bjorn\'s last forum was an N64 one. I followed the familiar faces and ended up here.
And, yeah, I\'m selfish. Deal with it ;)
-
How can you call him selfish? Everyone in this forum always pisses themself when ps2 gets an exclusive title :sleepy:
-
So what you\'re saying is that I\'m not being selfish...they\'re just being jealous :D
-
IF - Rare does develop for the PS2 and
IF - the game is Perfect Dark or PD2.. then I\'d rather see it stay a Nintnedo excluisive.
I\'d rather see Rare stay Nintnedo exclusive as well, but if they DO make a PS2 game, then I\'d like to see something totally new and innovative from them.
-
I read in the June issue of OPM that it was a mere rumor of RARE developing for sony. They even questioned the x-mas cards they sent out with PS2\'s and X-Box\'s on them. They said it was a joke.
-
Well it says different on the new july issue of psm
-
Keep in mind that the issue was printed prior to E3 during the time when everyone seemed to have confirmation that Rare was going third party. I think that they too got caught in the hype of the rumor.
-
hope its something very cool
-
Yea, well Nintendo\'s answer at E3 was bull****, anyway. I was there. :)
Whoever asked the question phrased it terribly. They would have avoided it anyway, only here it was a little less obvious.
The question was like, "There\'ve been a lot of rumors about Rare going multiplatform, is there any truth to them?"
And Nintendo basically, "Right now it\'s business as usual, as you can see with Star Fox: Adventures on the show floor."
Woah, what a sidestep. "Business as usual." You know what that means? Nothing. As long as Rare is making a game for Nintendo, Nintendo will call it "business as usual."
They could still be making a PS2 game, a PD game, whatever the rumor might be at the time. I think in hindsight the question should have been much more direct. "Is Rare developing for PS2 or Xbox?" An answer then of "Star Fox rocks!" would have been a little more conclusive.
Anyway, I would like to see Rare stay exclusive to help out Nintendo, and I believe that if they release a game on PS2, especially Perfect Dark, it would also be released on Gamecube.
If not, I just remembered I have a new PS2 in my room so some of the heat is off. :)

Frankly I don\'t really care about Rare or PD. If Nintendo develops for the PS2...now that\'s what I called a story. :)
