Title: Looks Like Aliens Colonial Marines Has Been Canned

Just before E3, Electronic Arts confirmed that the EA and Fox team-based first person shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines, was still in the works, the game was a no-show at the convention, and EA has since changed its tune. According to an EA representative, the game is on hold and is no longer being developed. EA and Fox are currently deciding what to do with the game, which could mean that it will be picked back up at some point, though it may also mean that the game will never see the light of day.

That\'s a pity. The game looked ok... anyway it\'s strange that there weren\'t footage in E3... :mad:

I was looking forward for to an Alien game for PS2...

Those aliens are still the best monsters in a movie though

NO!   i loved all the Aliens games, even if they were crappy

1st Alien Ressurection cancelled and now this

they would be dumb to cancel this tho, as Aliens vs Predator movie isnt far off

oh well, mayhaps SOCOM will fulfill my squad based action desires..

but it wont have the Alien atmosphere!!!

Well, I did have some interest in this game (especially with the first shots that were shown for this game. The second series of shots they showed...obvious degrade of graphics :(). But its cancelation (which right now, the game is simply on hold, but yes, could lead to cancelation) isn\'t all that bad to me. Just means more time to play games like GTA: Vice City, Timesplitter 2, Ratchet and Crank, and so on.

I would have loved to see this game online too....
It would have been amazing playing this with a  headset will all the tension the atmosphere brings, hearing your teamsmates screaming as aliens come about.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to play this game soo bad! S#!T. The game looked great and fun as hell. The graphix from what i saw were great. It seems that a lot more people than i expected liked and will miss this title.  :( awww man.:mad:

ok kop, i see the confusion

alien resurrection was released on PSX as a FPS a while back

it was originally supposed to be an "adventure" type PC game

i\'ve had the psx version since it came out

yeah it was origianlly gonna be a 3rd persion game, but they changed it

the onoly movies of the game that were released were before the enemies had AI.. in fact all that the videos were displaying were the aesthetics.  I dont think they showed any commands or teamwork.. or much action for that matter (because of AI?)

But the atmosphere seemed great (the motion sensors and music) and it seemed fluid.  So i had my hopes up high.
