Nah, no need for that. I\'ve read that a while back aswell. Nothing that wasn\'t said here either. Still a good read though (and might prove something that I was on about some time back). Nice forum though...

Dang, I wish you would have posted this a few weeks ago.  I want to go post a link to that at ffozone.com\'s forums, in the MS section, but I promised I wouldn\'t post there again. :(

They drool over the Xbox\'s graphics over there.  I kept telling them the PS2 was more advanced, but they didn\'t want to believe me.  Oh well.

The PS2 was built from the ground up for gaming.  While the Xbox was also built for gaming there\'s no way in hell MS would make its own processor or graphics chip.  Sony has its own hardware division that specializes in chip design.  MS had to buy from people who already knew how, not surprising really.

I still think both have very good graphics and being a videogame fan as long as I have I\'ve learned to ignore most of the tech data.  There are always games that prove the machine can do more than was thought.  Ie- Donkey Kong Country, Gran Turismo, FFIII.

I\'d still like to see the PS2 have some widescreen games in progressive though.  Xbox has already been there and done that.  PS2\'s 4mb of VRAM isn\'t helping any. :(

They\'re coming THX. Tekken 4, Primal and many others will have progressive out. And the 4 MB of VRAM shouldn\'t be of any discussion - remember; small caches, large bandwidth. ;)

SOCOM too will have progressive scan, I hear it looks great with it too.
