Hmmm, the multi coloured 200SX is sweet, so is the Integra. I am not a fan of the Skyline bodykit, and what the hell is with that last blue car? I can\'t even tell what it is.
It can\'t be legal though, I mean, it doesnt even have brake lights...

Yeah, they are some ugly cars.
I hate CRX\'s.

Hate them all you want, just dont roll up on the wrong one. C-Rex\'s can be formidable foes!!!!
Very light weight stock..even lighter when gutted. Can receive practically ANY honda/acura motor rather easily. Ive seen ALOT of hybrid 13sec all motor street cars, then add juice or boost..its a car you DON\'T want to mess with.
-
It\'s not all rice, yes there is alot of Rice, but then again since I can\'t see under the hood, who knows what they\'re pack\'n. However on a few of those cars you can see some big ass intercoolers up front.
if you want a good deffinition of rice check out the link in my sig, and check out what they say about rice.

Theo, I gotta say the samething to you. None of those cars are rice to me since they are show cars. A show only serves one purpose, to be shown. People are concerned with what will win them points, not what will make them look fast, unlike the ricers we all see on the streets.
-
Luckee, I have to disagree. I would rather spend money doing normal \'usable\' m0ds for on the race track then these tacky little crappy things that some people do for your \'show cars\'.
Its a waste of money that could have gone to beefing up the engine.
But then again, these people obiously have enough money to begin with.

That is debatable racer, one could say going fast is a waste of money since motors are only going to blow up, axles breaking..etc..etc...
-
some of the cars look good whereas others seem to have been lowered way too much
-
Ugly as sin!
-
im sorry but i just cant rationalize spending more money on a car than the car is worth
if youre gonna buy a $15,000 car and put $15,000 worth of work into it why not buy a $30,000 car thats gonna be just as fast
dont get me wrong im all about cool looking fast cars but some people try too hard with these P.O.S. fourbangers
-
Good point.
I visit a lot of Mustang sites and there is a whole bunch of people dropping tons of cash to try and beat a Vette, etc.
I can\'t understand why they don\'t go and just buy one and get the speed they\'re looking for right out of the box.

I doubt a stock Vette is going to win any of those shows. You\'d still have to put money into it. If you put enough money into an Eclipse GSX, you\'re gonna have a faaaast car.
Those pics you see of cars in parking lots, like Cavaliers with Type-R badges and chrome hubcaps - THAT is rice. And OMG, I HATE 14" wheels on any car.
Some of the cars that luckee posted are garish and flambouyant, but that\'s exactly what\'s hot right now, and those people probably spend 4 hours a day working on their car. LET THEM. I wouldn\'t mind people drooling over my car at a car show.
If you really want to criticize, go find a Type-R Festiva without so much as a high-flow intake to laugh at.
P.S. - For some, it is more financially viable to buy a cheaper car, then add mods over the months/years, as opposed to buying a kick-ass car to start with. Plus, it\'s quite a thrill to beat down some Vette/Viper/Porsche egos.

Many of the bodykits and wheels and color selections like these are so utterly tasteless that defies reason. When I see a car like this green one, I just can\'t figure out what the hell that person was thinking. It looks like it was designed by a 10 year old. I mean if you\'re old enough to drive, old enough to earn the thousands of dollars needed to install all these modifications, why aren\'t you old enough to have developed a tiny bit of taste? If you own a car like that, where do you have to hang out to find people who will tell you it looks nice? Are there so many crazy people in the world? I\'d be embarassed to park it in my driveway or take it on any street in this city. For every dumb freak ricer kid who tells you it\'s cool, there are 20 more people laughing behind your back. Are people that blind to the reality?

decide what?? do you wat us to pick what car you think yo should get??

WORD. This man speaks the truth.
Come on, I wouldn\'t be caught dead with most of those cars. Show cars or not, those are really REALLY ugly. Why anyone would buy and mod them is a mystery to me. Don\'t get me wrong, I love a car that has been TASTEFULLY modded. They can look really kewl and all that... but this... ugh.
This one looks pretty cool tho\'. What kind of car is it? From behind it looks like a Honda S2000 with a top...

I agree with you, Cored...those are some ugly beasts. But hey, there are still people walking around with legwarmers on. Men are still wearing speedos, and some women still look like Tammy Faye. They aren\'t embarrassing anyone but themselves. All I can do is thank god that I don\'t have to drive it.
But damn am I glad I don\'t have to share driveway space with that yellow thing with satellite dish rims. Unless I needed to cook an egg, of course.
-
I really wouldn\'t mind these cars soooo much if I knew they had some serious performance behind them. I mean these cars remind me of the Celica commercials "Looks Fast".
Oh yeah what does everyone here drive?
Me, I drive a Shelby CSX, running 13\'s right now, but still have alot of work ahead, especially when I get my Cummins Diesel Intercooler installed, and my AFPR next week. Also need better rubber, I\'m spinning far to much into second if I don\'t really watch it.
(If anyone says they have NOS I will beat you with a large stick, you can say Nitrous, N20, whatever you like, just not Naaws)

Ok, this is how it works my friend. Lets start with 3 cars we specialize in at our shop. Dodge Neon and anything with the DOHC 420A motor. Mitsu.Eclipse, and scoobie WRX.
Now we shall start witht he neon. One can find one for as little as $1500. Yes it will be a chitty car for that moeny, but keep in mind we are spending money on it so it doesnt matter.
So thats $1500+ O lets be nice and only spend $10k. You now have a car that will handle on rails(autocross), stock is damn good by the way. One that can hold its own on the roadcourse. Also it is a 1/4 mile beats putting down in the area of 350-450HP depending on what routes taken during the build up. so that is only $11.5 to absolutly RAPE cars 3 times its cost. Dont even get me started on my buddy who has spent about 20k and eats moddified vipers for lunch!!! I even have video proof :D
Next..Eclipse, these are more pricey, but same theory. Hell for 3 free and 2 other cheap mods, you can drop a good 1 and a half seconds off the 1/4 time. Also relatively cheap.
See where Im going with this? No matter how much one spends ont hese cars, it will ALWAYS be faster than buying a new car of equal value.

sweet..csx\'s are sweet!!! I dont care for the styling that much..not horrible tho. But the bang for the buck is enormous, not to mention the cars great potential.
BTW, I have a product you would most certainly like. Solid shifter bushings to improve your shifts(duh :) )
$40 plus shipping. these take soo much slop out of the shifting with those chitty rubber ones.

Not my image but I think it\'s needed here.

I like the eclipse with the suicide doors (the first pic) but I wouldve gone with a different color, like pearl black.
-
I like the silver Silvia on top from the first post.. Well actually I don\'t like it all that much, but personally, I think its the most decent out of the rest.
And Samwise, that white care with the hood open. It\'s also a Silvia. S15 to be exact.
And CRXs can be fast, but the engine bay is not exactly that giving. The car is lighter than the 92-95 civic hatchbacks, yet trying to fit a B18C in the CRX, you\'d have to hammer in a part of the engine bay to make the alternator fit. and if you ever wanted to fit an H22? I\'d say forget it. Therefor I stick with my EG civics.

wrong, wrong and WRONG....what appears to be isnt always the truth now is it? ALmost all of these cars are pure hybrids..total customization. The white one samwise is referring to I believe is an eclipse originally. There are NO silvias anywhere in this post. Finally, a H22a can fit into a c-rez..yes..Ive participated in the swap. Sure the car didnt have a/c or p/s but it didnt need it either. You dont have to "hammer" as you stated to fit Bseries motors in those cars.
-
Doesnt the B-series alternator hit the side of the engine bay? Oh well.
And H22A in a CRX? That\'s a hella lot of work put into doing that. And how do the axles seat when everything is put together? A major problem with many of the EG civic H22A combination is the fact that most people don\'t have the axles seated properly so a lot of the power is lost. Welp, if you\'ve done it before, then you proved me wrong. But still H22A in a crx? I\'d still say forget it. Too much trouble and hassle puttin in your average joe motor into that car. I\'d rather go with a B20 block and a B16A head combination, or just a straight out B18C5.
And the silvia thing.. I\'m impressed.. they did do a good job. I saw a couple maybe a year/2 years ago, but didnt think that so many were doin it now. And as for that white car.. now that you mention it.. it definitely does look like an Eclipse. my bad

yeah I don\'t like the styling too much either, look too much like A Honda Accord, but then again I do like a sleeper. And the uncontrolable sobbing that you can cause in a Mustang owner is almost worth the ugly styling.
And I think I might just have to pick me up one of those Solid Shifter bushings.

Theomem..check out the website in my sig, more info on the bushings there.
Koko, yea..it certainly wasnt easy as pie, but it can be done. Sounds like you really know yer honda stuff b18c5=droll :) Specially in a EG or EK. B20 block is a strong mutha too, you\'d be surprised how many don\'t know about it.
