Square CEO Youichi Wada has commented on Nintendo\'s statements regarding to Final Fantasy XI in Japan. Nintendo\'s former CEO Yamauchi mentioned that Final Fantasy XI did not sell well comparing to the other Final Fantasy games in the series, Wada mentioned that the income structure and the market size of online games are different from traditional standalone software, therefore it is no point to compare the two. In addition, he thinks customers may be misleading by Yamauchi\'s statements and have a wrong impression on Final Fantasy XI. Wada also commented that Final Fantasy XI is opening a new market, he hopes Nintendo would support the issue. At last, Wada mentioned that their new work for GameCube still does not have an official title, although Yamauchi refers the game as a new Final Fantasy title
I\'m not exactly sure why I find this funny, but nintendo is a very stupid company.. sheese.
I guess one could say they never really "Made Up"
I\'m glad square stood up and took action and made a reply.
I guess nintendo does not want many cube games...
Sad part is, I actually own a Gamecube, but I don\'t exactly understand them all the time.
-
Yes comparing FFXI sales to ie. FFX sales is pretty damn stupid..
-
Silly Billies
That Nintendo Former CEO has quite a mouth on him.
-
The tentative title is "Final Fantasy". Square/Nintendo said it was before, but now Square is probably further along in development so they know that the game will not be part of the Final Fantasy series.
-
I guess Nintendo is still mad about not getting FF again, so now they want it to fail
-
"Yamauchi mentioned that Final Fantasy XI did not sell well comparing to the other Final Fantasy games"
And he\'s right. Big deal...
We\'ve even noticed it ourselves with that thread about FFXI Bombs...
His point was online isn\'t as profitable as he\'d like it to be when Nintendo gets involved, which looks to be later this year.

Excellent, hurray!! I could care less!!
I wasn\'t asking how the game was doing? I was wondering clouds\' reasoning behind his comment...

Darnit.. I forgot where I read this.. Somewhere in some Japanese news website, so it really wouldn\'t help much to find the link anyways. But anyhoo, the story also included something about Nintendo\'s online plans. Basically, the reporter speculated that Nintendo was not going to spend too much money on their online plans, as they do not believe that online is the future at the current time. The report also speculated that perhaps Square has deviated from the original \'Final Fantasy\' plans with Nintendo and are developing a completely new and different game.
sidenote: these were speculations by the reporter
sidenote x2: You remember back in elementary school there was always that little kid that tried to be \'cool\' and tried to say and do \'cool\' things? And how people would look at him and be like \'dood you\'re a moron, Explain yourself\', and then he would just shut up and run away and go find another group of \'cool\' people to try to be \'cool\' with?

No, I\'m not going to explain everything to you, especially in detail.
Maybe you should try to figure some things out

There\'s nothing to figure out...
Am I the only one in here who doesn\'t understand why he said that?
I guess Nintendo is still mad about not getting FF again, so now they want it to fail
At least give me a brief summary or something as to the reasoning behind this madness...

That is why there is two debate boards, for my kind and the \'informed\' kind
there you go.. Clowd admitting that he is not an informed gamer..
-
I figured as much when he posted that he doesn\'t know about any other system besides PS2...
If he\'s going to be in console debating and throw out such crap comments. He could at least have reasoning behind them and stick up for what he thinks when challenged to do so...
None of this figure it out for yourself...
starts putting nails in the 2x4

It seems you are by yourself in not understanding me

Do you have something else to do? Why don\'t you prove your point?

I dont have to prove the point i made, it is just a theory, you transalated it bad
-
well, ok.. how\'s this for a theory..
umm..
CLOWD = COMPLETE MORON
-
You have anything to back it up?
-
Well then explain your theory...you are in Console Debating, the worst that could happen is a debate!!
You\'ve got nothing to lose...

Wtf? What does that have to do with FFXI? Are you even partly intelligent? You\'re like a member from TXB and reading your crap is like having your gums scraped.

Yamauchi = employee who can not file for unemployment, mad at everything, even square who turned him down
Depend on when he was with nintendo, why would he comment on ff11? he got a snake in his boots
thorn in his side square put there, they could have sold so many more consoles if they had square, he got a grudge, its simple
-
You my friend, have just made my day. Thank-you very much. I don\'t suppose that this will be the last time that we will be graced with such insightful and accurate analysis by our friend Clowd. At least I hope not.

I have no idea what to say!!
I\'m so confused...
Yamauchi = employee who can not file for unemployment, mad at everything, even square who turned him down
What does this mean?!?!? Square turned him down for employment or to make games for GC?
Depend on when he was with nintendo, why would he comment on ff11? he got a snake in his boots
The sick thing is, this makes sense to Clowd...
thorn in his side square put there, they could have sold so many more consoles if they had square, he got a grudge, its simple
Okay, but him as an individual...not Nintendo. Your "theory" said Nintendo, not former employee...
I have never felt more helpless in an debate:surprised

When Mods Attack!!!
"Members and Mods have co-existed side by side throughout internet message boards. Both usually respect their boundaries and try not to cross the thin line.
But...occasionally, a regular member totally pisses a mod off and the result is often humiliating and fodder for ridicule. Watch out...WHEN MODS ATTACK!!!"
