Outside of that, I really don\'t know what\'s up with that team. It\'s not like they lost bad or anything (1-0, 0-0, 2-0), they just had no offense whatsoever, pretty sad.

France as a football team, are a "collective" group of people, whereas France as a country is a singular nation.

In other words, if the country itself were taking part, it would be correct to say "France IS out", but because it is a squad of French representatives, it should be ""France ARE out".

Just a thought, that\'s all.

But then again, what do I know.
