LOL!!!!!!!!! Alright mm.
-
anyone know if the backgrounds are prerendered?
-
i didnt really like the originals, but these pics look really cool *thumbs up*
-
I\'m not a fan of the series, and those pics are a bit merky--it could be the quality of the pics or it could be washed out textures.
-
uhh... since when was Dino Crisis a shooter?

yeah, I think that\'s the skin on the T-Rex, the guy must have caught him changing and that\'s why he\'s so pissed off.
-
no, i think watch said it
murky
-
Looks good. That T-Rex model rox0rs.
I hope it at least tries to be scary though... Judging from those screens -- like Ryu pointed out -- it seems as though they\'re taking the game off the Survival Horror path. But I\'ll have to reserve further judgement, since I haven\'t really read much into the game.
-
Looks great, especially the T-rex. Since there is no description, it\'s hard to judge.
-
i loved the first one.
i liked the second one.
but the third well seems to be turning out to be crap :(.
But on the plus side, putting bad picture quality aside the graphics seem reasonably good.
-
Textures=BLAH
but it still looks awesome.

Dino Crisis 2, silly m0d. ;)
I\'m actually happy about these pictures for a couple reasons. The main reason being I was worried that the game was in limbo , due to the fact it was not shown at E3 and Capcom had been so quiet on the game.
Another reason I\'m happy about the pictures is because it does seem to be lending itself to a more evoled version of DC2, which means it will focus more and more on the action, instead of trying to be a survival horror clone , which is exactly what the original DC was.
Oh yeah and plus the pictures look friggin\' sweet.
(Though it does sorta look like Gun Valkirye)
-
There\'s a movie at Gamespot--it reminds me of burning rangers. I really hate survival horror games so an action game with hungry dinos sounds pretty good to me.
-
well looks good, but yeah theres something missing... nothing that makes me say WOW looks great
-
I was beginning to think this game was canned...
It looks very good, IMO. Not mind blowing, but good...
Is it still Xbox exclusive?
-
WOW!! Looks great!! :D

as many times as i see it, i still laugh at the pic under yer name dxb
it fits you perfectly
:)
-
It looks like I thought it would.. similar to the GameCube\'s RE.
-
i dont like the way these games are going
more action, less suspense
its like choosing michael bay over alfred hitchcock
-
Unless they update the engine (ala Devil May Cry) fighting dinosaurs in an action game would be quite.. lame..
but im always up for some more survival horror/action/puzzles so bring it on i say
(it will still have heaps of really hard puzzles wont it??)
-
I hate Survival Horror. Zombies jumping out of closets suddenly is not Hitchcock. They are lame ass plots, with horrible voice acting.
Finding the blue key to open the blue door pisses me off. Reading hundreds of pages of overwritten journal entries that provide inciteful clues is trash. Who goes into an incredibly dangerous place and then splits up?
I will not enjoy these kind of garbage until they actually hire talented professional writers.
Gimmee a gun and some bad guys (be it two legs or four, human or other) and I\'m happy.
-
For all those complaining about this being more action, instead of horror, come on. Do you honestly want another-run-off-the-mill survival horror clone? That was the biggest problem with the original Dino Crisis. Capcom knew this and corrected the problem with Dino Crisis 2, which made it a much more enjoyable game. The sequel seems to be just taking that formula and going to the even more extreme. I don\'t personally see anything wrong with that, if anything I think that will work the best for a series that is based on going into a camp and killing dinosaurs.
I do agree that the RE serie should lend itself to more horror than action.
Oh and Bob - what are you smoking? Really hard puzzles in any Capcom game?!? ;)

That is exactly why the original Resident Evil, and the original Silent Hill are superior to all others in the genre. They are scary mostly because they dont rely on cheap Teen Slasher tricks to scare you, its pure atmosphere.
Alas, i dont find these games scary at all anymore because they are far too action orientated.. Who has time to be scared when you are blasting away at 10 zombies in front of you with a grenade launcher and 45+ grenades. If you had 10 zombies in front of you in the original RE on the PSX you would have **** your pants. That would have been instant death.
But i do play these games for the adventure and i do like to read those journals to find out more about the storyline *hides*

well.. its been a while.. but i was almost sure that some of the puzzles in the original DC had me stumped for ages... :(
thats what separated it from RE, the fact that it was more puzzle orientated.. at least thats how i saw it :nerd:
-
like i said, atmosphere
like....*insert holy aura here* Shenmue 1 and 2 *end holy aura*
-
Silent Hill was garbage. It takes more than fog to create atmosphere and a scary game.
RE1 was good. After that, they all suck.
-
personally, i liked silent hill
RE was too closed in for me
i liked being able to explore a whole town and not just one or a few buildings
alone in the dark series (except last one) > any current survival horror franchise
