Title: WTF? Concerning XP and IE6 (I think).
Post by: ##RaCeR## on June 15, 2002, 04:40:19 AM
Ok, why the hell does this seem to happen everytime I try to visit Australian sites. It never happenes with any other, just ones that end in .au

Content-type: text/html Page-Completion-Status: Normal Page-Completion-Status: Normal

I get this friggen message all over these cut up websites, and some sites won\'t even load, they will just show this friggen error.

I have Zone Alarm Pro, but I don\'t think its that, because I turned it off and its still happening.

I have XP with IE6, just to let you know, though I am not sure if this has anything to do with it. I am on 300k Broadband.

Anyone know what the hell is wrong?

It may help if you could give us a website so we see if it happens to us.

Windows XP, IE6, 56k Dialup (At the parental\'s house)

All three came up fine.

Maybe reinstall IE6 or something.  No clue since I can\'t recreate.  Sorry.  I think IE6 is just mad at you for all those Mariah Carey fan sites you\'ve been visiting.  If you start fresh with a new IE6 then I think it will fix everything.

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Miscellaneous > Access data sources across domains > Disabled

Check it.

Nah, start over.  Reformat your hard drive then start clean.

But if you want to do it Adan\'s way then that\'s your call.

I did the opposite of what Adan said and I still can\'t get it to do what you are saying.

Yes, 99.99% of possibilities that the problem isn\'t there, but that option was strange and curious for this problem. Only a try. :p

So, do I change it from disabled to enabled? Its on disabled at present. I tried enabled and did nothing.

Could it be the service provider?

May be. Make a call to your provider and tell them the problem. I think they can help you much better than we can. Good luck :)
