If PS3 does come out that soon.. It will suck. And you would notice this place flame up with heated fights about Sony.. Which I remember happening when PS2 was released and all the problems started.

But I\'ll probably end up getting a ps3 at or near launch.:cool:

Add five years and 4 months to PS2 and its something like July, 2005. Which is very feasible in my mind.

Good point, but the thing is that the ps2 is only now starting to get the full jist of its self, and about to launch its full arsenal on us, so i say once we get the hdd, and the online gaming, i give them till 2007 when it\'ll come out, but 2005 would be a reasonable, since it\'ll have two years to do what ever the hell its capable of,*stops and thinks why in the hell I always contradict myself* stoopid thoughts.

Full jist of itself? PS2 is WAY ahead of where the PSX was at this point, even without as much piracy.. it has a HUGE game line up with many A+ titles, and over 30 million consoles worldwide..

As for now, there really is only limited information available, and we probably won\'t be hearing any definite information until at least a year and a half before release or something.

I predict 2006 though

2007 is too far away screw that. I\'d rather have it in 2005

The PS2 has been out for 2 years in Japan, so 2005 would make it 5 years which is about normal for a console generation

Plus I\'m sure Sony wants to be 1 year ahead of MS again, and I\'m sure MS would like to close the release date gap some themselves

I think 2k6 is more likely and 2k7 is not out of the question. Even though sony has followed the 5 year rule so far..who really knows?

Note ajoh, you are telling Vapor this :D

I would actually like to see it come out a year or two from 2005. Gives more time to work out bugs and sh!t. Also, people would then be hyped up to get it because they enjoyed their PS2. Just my opinion though.

Not only that, but we all as consumers liek to feel we got our moneies worth. Plus,ps2, IMO..has yet to really be tapped if you know what I mean. Plenty left in it IMO.
