How much money would it take for you to be happy. I\'m not talking millions here. I\'m just thinking, say you are 2000 in debt and you really need a sofa. Well then 5,000 would make you happy.
Be realistic. I would have to say 20 grand. Both cars would be paid off then and my credit card. Plus I would have about 5 grand to invest in reshingling my roof. Yahoo!!!!
-
I have credit card debt and a car payment, but I don\'t feel like I\'m in over my head. I\'d settle for a $40k a year job for the next few years, with maybe a 7-10% raise per year after that. I don\'t need to be riznich.
-
no more that one million eh?.......well how about (raises pinky to mouth)...One. Billion. Dollars?
(gets tapped on shoulder)..*Uhh sir one billion is more that one million*
Oh, I see, why doesnt someone throw me a frickin bone here!....
...but seriously, I only sixteen, I\'d take a couple of bucks:p

That brings up something interesting. I wonder what people make on this board. I know many are young, but what do you plan to make, realistically? What do you think is a good comfortable wage? Can you live off only 20 grand?
I personally don\'t see how people can have multiple kids sometimes. I see parents who I know don\'t make much and they just keep having kids. I make a descent living and I couldn\'t imagine having even one more child with just my salary. At least not where it is now.
-
Well, I have alot of time to think about what I want to be, but being a computer engineer doesn\'t sound that bad to me right now. It pays pretty good, but I\'d imagine it takes a decent amoun of schooling. Meh, oh well, whatever works.
Yeah vid, it amazes me that people who don\'t have alot of money insist in having more kids. I plan on having two, that\'s it. Anymore than that and I\'d probably pull my hair out.
-
Well, I\'m 17, so anything would be nice. Probably enough money to get myself a decent car, and pay for the insurance. That would be great.
-
I\'m good with $27,000 in cash, right now in my front door step! Too bad that won\'t happen.
-
I\'m moving this week, so I\'d like some new furniture, but....my GF is outta work right now, so I feel a little po.
BUT-
I am less than $800 into credit cards, I have a truck payment, but I\'m pretty happy. I make a little over $43k and living is cheap here in Buffalo.
* drinks toast to his own happiness....

20, 000?........nope.
I seriously have high expectations for myself. I have talked to counselors about my future and it looks good. I am currently in grade 11 but I took 4 grade 12 classes this year and I made the honor role in grade 11 and it looks good for grade 12. 86% average in those 4 classes. In my city of Saskatoon, our engineering institute has been deemed #1 in canada and is in the top 10 in North America. In a couple of years the University is getting..... A synchrotron!(sp?). For those who do not know what it is, Its like a super powerful microscope that can see into the atomic level. One of not many in the world.
Right now Im leaning towards Engineering in Physics...aka "the highest paying engineering job"
.....all of this is according to my counselor.....im a n00b:D

I\'d take $5000 and be perfectly happy.
-
1 millllllllion dollars...m mauahahhahahaha:evil:
-
i\'d be straight with 30 grand, it would pay for all my college, and i wouldnt be payin people back for four or five years, so i\'d be happy with 30 g.
-
20 grand would be nice, that way I got my final year of college paid for, the police academy paid for, enough for me to sup my car up, and then finally enough to live off of for a month or so, while I\'m relocating.
-
I\'m happy if I find like 5 bucks cuz\' thats like 100 bazooka joe comics for me!
-
I could use some $15,000 right now, but when I\'m finished w/ school I plan on getting some $60k/year.

Take it from me big guy, 60 ain\'t enough. And it\'s cheap living in Tampa. Well, let me rephrase that. It was enough when I had no kid and my wifey was working as well.
-
Well, actually it\'s QUITE a good salary over here.
-
*Note: Take cash and run to Denmark. *
Actually 60 is fine, but when you have a couple cars, insurance, house, life insurance, a kid, and utilities, there is little left to buy the essentials in life such as travel and beer.
-
Yep, I plan on making six figures straight out of college
(of course my plans never do seem to quite work out...:( )

Pfft, who needs a kid, two cars (one Porsche will suffice) and insurance (I\'m a lucky guy).
BTW, how much does a real estate agent (can\'t remember if that\'s the word - is it just realtor?) make in urban USA? Probably more than here. Well Video, you might get a new neighbor once I get that green card. ;)
-
Hmm well Nursing here in AZ is not at the tope of the Higest paid jobs list and I am waaaay over my head in credit cards I could use about 35,000 to make everything real nice again..

I have a friend who had her first child about 1 year and a half ago. She\'s about 35 and doesn\'t seem to be in a hurry to have the second. I wonder if it\'s because of money, or the discomfort of childbirth, or something else.
Anyway, I don\'t understand that there\'s any big difference between one kid and two or more. I mean the difference in spending required for one kid vs. no kids is huge, but the difference between one kid and two kids is not as great. You know, economies of scale and all that. Also, if you have two children, and something happens to one, then you have a backup. I know it sounds morbid, but things do happen. My friend was one of two daughters, and her sister was murdered a few years ago. I thought she might take it into account that it was easier on her parents knowing they still have one daughter instead of none.
-
The difference between one kid and two is actually quite large.
As an infant through 5 years old paying for 2 kids in daycare is about a grand a month.
Shoes alone are 20-30 bucks a pair and you buy a pair or two every couple months. Them feet grow fast. Especially with the size of big log\'s dong. :)
And unless you have them the same sex you have to buy all new clothes for each of them. Time to hit the garage sales.
Now when they get into school it\'s a totally different story. Mucho bucks doubled for clothing, after school crap, etc...
And what if they don\'t get a scholarship? I don\'t know about you guys, but my kids are going to college. Ugh, I don\'t even want to think about that.
-
the money i spend i my kid right now isnt so bad just diapers and food(lots of grandparents who enjoy spending money on him takes care toys and clothes)but man when he gets older thats when i have a feeling im gonna be spending tons of money on him he eats like crazy now im worried when one aldut sized meal wont be enough
-
He eats regular food now doesn\'t he? Logan has been eating with us for quite a while. He eats just about anything, but he loves chicken nuggets and he will eat french fries till the cows come home.
-
oh yea he eat the same food we cook and the kids meals when we go out im talking when hes a teenand we go out and hes starts wanting an appetizer a full adult meal and dessert and then 2 hours later is hungry again i know i was like that when i was a teenager.... wait a minute i still eat like that plus now i drink beer
-
i would be happy making about 40 grand a year... with daisy going to be a school teacher she isnt going to be raking in the bucks.
if i can pull off 35-40 a year, and daisy with 20-30, we should be fine.
but then again.... im pretty sure im gonna get rich and famous so its all moot.
-
Just 1000 a year, because I get 300 a month for free, and im still 14.
