You know all these fishing games out now- does anyone even play them? I haven\'t seen much talk or anything. IMO I think its a stupid idea to fish in a video game- just my oponion though. Anyone here play fishing games?

if i wanted to play a fishing game, i would spare myself and just go to sleep.

FISHING GAMES RULE!!!!
-
I like fishing games, they are very peacefull, and if they have good graphics they can be extremely relaxing.
-
What are some good ones? I might try one.
-
I have about seven fishing games, it must be just me. I think they are very underated. Very entertaining, been playing them since SNES, very peaceful. Wonderful on a nice afternoon.

Go out on a boat and fish, for christ\'s sake!
-
but then you might fall in, or a shark might eat you, or you might snag ur line on someones face, or you might lose ur tackle box, or you might get a hole in your boat, or you might get hit by an oncoming vessel, or you might not catch anything, or you might scare away all of the fish.
Do you see now why they play fishing videogames.

Thats pretty much a reason why we play video games in general..
I mean unless you can cast spells and summons like me.

Because they fear the outside world?

Man I haven\'t played a fishing game since BlackBass on NES. I still have it if anyone wants to buy it let me know.
I\'ll never foregt the first time I seen that huge shadow coming and getting ready to chomp down on my line. I was nervous it was funny as hell.
I need to check some of the new ones out.

Yes fishing games are fun, in a relaxing way.
Get a beer, and just relax with the boat and all that. Hey, don\'t get on us for liking fishing games, with the lame "Go out and fish for real." crap. You can say that about sports games too:p
....and some of us are too poor to get a real boat:(

I love fishing games! My fav was Bassins Black Bass for Super Nintendo. When I caught my first 14 LB bass in the rocks I was like WHOA! When I caught the 27 LBer in the dump it was like a virtual orgasm! My line snapped almost everytime I tried to get that huge mofo. He\'d always ignore my bait to but I got em! LOL

Yup it actually would be but here are reasons I can\'t:
1- There are no good fishing spots near me. I\'d have to take a weekend trip to get to a good one.
2- Fishing games are usable year round no matter the weather.
3- Cost of buying a new rod (I\'ve got an alright reel) and renting a boat plus gas and a place to stay is to much for my measly pay.
4- I am a lazy person.
Oh well there is always couch fishing after all... :)

unless you have a fresh water pond neasr you, which I doubt, you have to go out, pay for a boat and go out to the sea, spend 6 hours on a boat, if your lucky you\'ll catch one.
Fishing games rule, you can do it anytime, anywhere, with no cost except the game. Plus the fish don\'t smell in this game.
