Whenever I play a DVD on my PS2, a loud, annoying buzzing occurs every 8-9 seconds. It usually only lasts for a few seconds, but it completely drowns out any dialogue. I tested this out by hooking up the PS2 through my VCR, and I heard no buzzing. This meant that it must be the RF adapter. I tried tightening the connections, but nothing seemed to work. Any suggestions?

1: DO NOT put the PS2 through the VCR.........the copy protect will click in when you run a dvd.
2: which RF Adapter did you get?

Ditto. You should not be running the DVD player through the RF adapter. Especially through a VCR. Macrovision will kick your tail.

I can\'t find the original box for the RF adapter, so this probably doesn\'t help you much: It says "Playstation RF adapter" in the center. However, it is not a sony product, it is definitely third party.

look for the 3d PS logo that you see on the ps2\'s tray for official merchandise
I didnt connect my ps2 through a vcr but my problem was the ps2s dvd loosing the voice of the movie, their lips would move but the voice didnt come out until about a second later (which happens usually once a movie and can be fixed by puasing/unpausing)
i called sony and they said stop using the 3rd party rf adaptors
this didnt help but oh well
fulltilt you should get s video or multi component video plugs if you want to see the true ability of dvd. it does make a difference in games and in movies. you cant expect much out of a rf adaptor, its quality is only that of an average cable hook up imo just my opinon

Video Heierarchy (sp) Best to worst
Component (Y, pb,) it is something like that
S-video (the round cable)
Composite (RGB AKA the red white and yellow cables)
RF (TOTAL CRAP)
in Smaller TV\'s the S-video and component arent that much different...........

Ok, I\'ll try a Sony RF Adapter. I would try an S-Video plug or the red, white, and yellow cables, but my TV (Samsung™) only has a cable connecter in the back where you plug in your coaxial cable. I\'d write in more detail, but a bear just wandered into my backyard...
