i guess this was released a two weeks ago, but i never saw it on the shelves till today

sheer number of tracks (81)
kickin soundtrack
impressive weather effects
60 fps locked
very little jaggies
supports my GT force wheel!
-\'s
blurry textures
ummmmm.......
errrrr..........
thats about it
i\'ve been waiting for this title for a long time, and it was well worth it.
now , stuntman comes out next week
between moh:f, WRC, and stuntman, im gonna have NO free time
my xbox and GC will collect more dust till fall i guess
:)

So is it worth $50?
btw, how many racing games does the gt steering wheel support? thats one of the things holding me back from getting it.
-
Gt3 is reason enough to buy this
but it also supports Nascar Heat 2002, Tokyo Extreme Racer, TMB, and some others

Thank You! Some member bashed this game sometime back saying the tracks were entirely too short. No offense to him (to each his own), but I found the tracks credibly lengthy. This is not enduro stuff...its rally. And for the sake of this type of console game, the length works great for me. WRC is a jewel for the PS2.:D

does anyone know what bands created the tunes??? I would like to DL a sample.
-
I think I\'ll pass till CMR3.
-
My only gripe with WRC is the way the cars float on the tracks. Also, they do not go fast enough. The sensation of speed is just not there in this game.
V-Rally 3 looks set to fix these problems.
-
looked great, and some of the tracks are very long but there was no real challenge, even on the hardest difficulty it was easy to win most of the stages with time to spare, and with no repair penalties between stages you could slam the car about without worrying. (most of the time)
If its as good as the first 2 games CM3 will take some beating for a challenging rally game.

Ive been wanting to buy it but I cant afford anything right now...
FFX is next on my list, so Ill buy that whenever I get my money back :)
WRC2k2 is in development right now and if you listen to the devs they are going to make it even better.. (plus 2x the polygons ;))
Im gonna wait and see how WRC2k2 turns out..

Huge ass map in WRC1.

are we talking about the game made by evolution studios or something?, cause I played a demo of that game, loved it, but the tracks were far from long, they were like 2 or 2.5 minutes of racing time. IMO that\'s short, was it just the demo?
if so, then how long are they in the actual game
-
WRC\'s tracks are very long. A lot longer then any other rally games out there.
V-Rally 3\'s look also to be just as long ;) I hope is has everything WRC does and more.

##RACER##...your point has been brought up before, but just asking: you are aware that the sense of speed is greatly increased dependent on the POV you chose, right? I don\'t believe this is just a perception thing of IMO...I believe the Inside car view vs. the over the "top" view present entirely different perceptions of speed in WRC.
Your thoughts?

This game\'s been at my local BestBuy for about 1 month or so. I haven\'t seen it anywhere else. i wanted to rent it first.
How does it compare to GT3?

No, Its way too slow. Sure, the in car view looks faster (because your lower to the ground) but the sense of speed in general just isn\'t there.
Your in a rally car, an inch from the ground, going at 120 Miles per hour - It should feel that way.

It was released in Europe first, but it\'s been in NA for about 3 months.
