Are there any new 2d fighting games coming out....sometihng like capcom vs snk 2?????  I am a huge fan of these games....it would be cool for a capcom vs snk online :bounce:

I miss 2-D fighters man. I love 3-D ones like Soul Calibur andVirtua Fighter but my most memorable days was going through rolls of coins playing Super Street Fighter 2 at the local arcade. Ah those were the days.... Sorry I cant answer your question though.

Guilty Gear XX. It has already been scheduled to be out for PS2.

This game is apparently very popular in asian countries (esp. Japan) and many people who have played it agreed that it is the best 2D fighter in the world. But because not many places in other countries have it so it is not too popular.

Uhm, yeah about Guilty Gear X....It is far from the best 2D fighting game. The fact is, its a friggin\' button masher with high res\' sprites. Thats about it....:mad:

Capcom vs Snk 2: EO is comin\' out for the GC and Marvel vs Capcom 2 is being ported to the PS2 this year. Other than that, the 2D fighters seem to be about dead.

Really? If that\'s the case then why would people from the fighting game community at fighters.net give this game an A?(http://www.fighters.net/reviews/)

Plus, why would people in Japan hold tournaments for it if it\'s just a button masher? Also, why does so many people in Asia talks about this game (the XX version) for arcade if it\'s just simply a high res\' sprites game? Why do people over at gamecombos.com talk about this game more than any others? Why do they even bother to go so in-depth into the gameplay?

Saying GGX is a button smasher is just like saying MvC2/CvS2 is button smasher.

Plus, i heard there was a DBZ game that was 2d fighting.
