Great program to watch if you get the chance. It usually aires once a month or so on TLC. Goe sinto the building of WTC..the structure, some of the innovations, and explanations to why it collapesed..definitely a good watch.

That was on several months back. I agree, very good show. Amazing how they can find some of that stuff in that twisted metal.
-
I saw it too. Kinda freaky in a way that they were able to figure out how it fell. What really sucks is that the guy who designed the buildings...his office is like one building away. And it\'s high up enough for him to see the wreck site.
-
The weird thing is that the middle of the WTC didn\'t collapse at first. You can see it if you look carefully in the footage of the collapse. It\'s really eeirie (sp).
-
The middle did fall first, thats why it went down and not over to one side or another.
-
The floors in the towers collapsed first. They fell like this \\ / . Then the exoskeleton inside was holding the load. They couldn\'t take the pressure so they collapsed. The middleskeleton because it wasn\'t holding a load, stayed up a second or two longer. That\'s why the top on one of the towers didn\'t collapse until hours later. The top part wasn\'t holding anyload or something like that.

well, the way I understood you..but now I understand what you were saying. But yes, the truss\' melted and warped,..then as well as some support beams..the rest is histopry. Besides..the "middle" cannot really fall. Since they were the stairwells and elevator shafts..those were still fully functional up untill the building fell..with exception of the shafts.
