The Xbox and Microsoft can never seem to get a break. Earlier today, Cirrus Logic Inc., one of the manufacturers of Xbox chips, warned of a revenue shortfall from lower than expected Xbox production. As a result, shares in other companies (Nvidia, Flextronics, and Solectron Corp) which also deal with aspects of the Xbox hardware, have taken a hit.
Investment firms however, do not think the Cirrus warning had any implication for Xbox sales, saying the shortfall probably came before Microsoft cut its sales estimates for the console in April.

But Thomas Weisel Partners analyst Eric Gomberg was more downbeat on the implications for Cirrus.

"In our opinion, given the magnitude of the shortfall, and the fact that Cirrus had already guided that Xbox-related revenues would decline sequentially in (the first quarter), it appears that Xbox related production has been virtually nonexistent in the past four weeks," he said.

Can it get any worse?

We always have units coming in to Best Buy, at least enough to meet what we have sold the previous week, we get about monthly shipments on GC and sporadic shipments of PS2.

BTW, the new NPD numbers have been revealed. XBox numbers tripled to nearly 260,000 and Gamecube numbers...hit a healthy 111,000!! ha ha ha, I guess Nintendo won\'t be needing to produce any units for a while :rolleyes: So let\'s see, XBox numbers = tripled, GC numbers = 50% increase!! woohoo!!

Get me a link or else that is the bigest peice of bull crap I have ever read. Until I have good solid proof (good non fanboy txb link) all the post was a waste of time and a stupid fanboy remark.

Now onto watchdog........what the hell are you talking about? Fanboy garbage? In the thread the only posts they posted before you posted were talking about you, rastlant and pstwo being mindless fanboy trolls.......

Onto the subject, it seems to be pretty bad over there at MS altough it could be alot worse. Now the systems (if any, I need sale updates!) behind XB in sales can have a whole week to gain some ground.
