NPD\'s supposed sell-through numbers for consoles in the US, in May.
PS2: 710,000
XBox: 258,000
GC: 112,000
How accurate is this? I mean, I can see Xbox beating the GCN.. but with RE1 (first big system-seller in America since launch) on the shelves I really find it very hard to believe that Xbox doubled the GCN\'s sales.
These are off of the Gaming Age forums, BTW.

frankly, i dont care how xbox does vs gc
BUT PS2 OUTSELLING ALMOST 2 - 1 AGAINST XBOX + GC?!?!?!?!?!?!11
sony is a beast
but im sure altered has some rational explanation for this trend
then again, he may be too busy gloating that xbox is outselling gc (for now)

Wow, that 710,000 sure makes every PS2 owner (including me) feel like a beast. It\'s nothing, of course, compared to my manly hose.

Bizio.. What was it you were saying again?
Pretty sweet numbers...
I wonder why GC sold so little, it had RE1 and they lowered the price, right?

Sadly my second console isn\'t doing too well. My shoes cost more than the damn thing and it sells like crap on a stick. Meh

sells better than xbox in japan, heh
:)

I saw numbers similar to these for may but the PS2 was only in the 500,000\'s but the other two consoles had the same sales as mentioned. I don\'t know who to trust. Either way PS2 is dominating.

Dammit why is Gamecube selling so ****ty? I want to pick one of those up for the Nintendo only character games. For some reason I don\'t mind big N\'s kid games.

Speed Demon: Even if Nintendo is having rough times, you\'d be a fool to turn down their system this year.
These NPD numbers were before a surge of GCN games like Bomberman, WMX8, and ED. Remember how stores like EB seemed to downplay GCN due to its droughts? Moved to th\' back of th\' store was my GCN game section.. at one time. When I went to pick up ED, the GCN games were in front where the PS2 games once resided. The manager and employees were talking ED ED ED, with th\' exceptional comment about RE1.
That\'s a big turn-around from last Christmas, where the Xbox was being pushed hard.
Somehow I have to think that June\'s GCN numbers will be a lot better than May\'s..
Why else would EB be so pro-GameCube all of a sudden? :)
