Title: A Present from The U.S. PLaystaion Underground
Post by: KillaX on June 29, 2002, 11:45:04 AM: I got a demo disk fro Rachet and Clank! I will give you guys detials after I play it! It pays to be a Memeber of the the Playstation Underground (this is a U.S.A thing BTW)! Plus I got my Official US Playstation Magazine in the Mail! it is going to be a late Night (at least till the WWE stuff comes on at 10:00PM....12:00 Midnight is the Divas thing..........I hope I dont kill too many kittens after that :) )

Still kinda angry I didnt get to Beta Test the BBA tho..............I have been a member since day 1! did you get the Card for the members only site?

How not??? Two characters going around collecting boxes instead of the orbs. All platformers are the same.

I got the card and im a member snd all but i havent seen a demo for it yet. The last demmo i got was for parrapa the rapper and hotshots golf 3.:(

Essentially, yes you are collecting things.. It is a platformer so there are similarities.

The reason this game is getting hype is because it is exactly what the platform genre has been needing. Its not just another easter egg hunt, collecting 100 coins for a life etc. Its a weapons based game, over 36 weapons which you use to kill your enemies (among other things) seperating it HUGELY from J&D\'s (and every other games) "jump on guys - use spin attack" to hit them.

Also i believe the nuts and bolts you collect are used for money to buy new weapons (although im not sure)

But the weapons idea sounds very cool and when you see it being played it seems to work very well
