Title: RPG Vault? Yea! or Nay!

Come on, we all want it.  it\'s the home of so many classics, Final Fantasy Series, Chrono series, Baulders Gate, Elder Scrolls, and uggg Diablo...  I say yea!  We need an RPG Vault!

I voted yea..... but now that i think about it, what exactly will we talk about that we couldnt talk about in other forums...?

See when I consider the need for a new forum the main point would have to be the need for one.  Other forums arent exactly being flooded with RPG topics at the moment.  Nor do i think they will ever be to the point that there will be a need for a new forum.

My feeling is that RPGs are discussed differently than other games because most of them offer various courses of action.

RPGs have the most in depth story as well, the need to understand them might be discussed.

Also, probably most important.  The future is Massive online RPGs, ie FFXI, EQ2, etc.  This is where you can talk about that stuff, not just online forum.  The point it, you talk about story, you talk about side quest, you talk about making parties.  There\'s so much involvement in RPGs that they deserve a forum of they\'re own.  PS2 should, like it\'s predeccesor be the RPG king, but at the moment, it seems less than likely.

I like the idea, but at the moment it wouldn\'t get very much activity.  

When Suikden III, Star Ocean 3, Kingdom Hearts, FFXI, or some other noteworthy RPG get released, that would be a better time to bring this up again.

When and if the RPG forum goes up, I would definitely nominate you and/or Nu.  Both of you seem to have a love for RPGs that far outshines anyone elses on this forum...

We\'ll have to drag this back up when more RPGs are released.../me thinks winter time.

I actually was hoping people would use "Console Discussion" for their RPG vault of sorts, as we do welcome any game topic.

An RPG forum will more than likely be needed when more RPGs are released.  Otherwise you\'ll get Console Discussion flooded with Spoilers, Questions, and reviews...especially when FFXI is released.

I agree completely with FFXI. Still, I don\'t think we\'ll need one for some of the smaller RPG\'s. I may be wrong though. I guess we\'ll have to wait and see.
