Title: Where will terrorist hit, this 4th?
Post by: theomen on July 02, 2002, 03:25:38 PM: Since we have all these warnings of terror threats, where does everyone think they\'ll attack.

I had a dream that they attack the bay area by ship ladened with explosives, so I\'m gonna go with SF.

BTW who ever guesses right gets a shiny new dime (if they\'re still alive to collect the prize)

True, but it would be best if the world keepsone eye open, in case of possible attacks.

Remember, he\'s still alive, and as long as he is, his threat HAS to be taken seriousley.

We had threats that he was going to bomb things on halloween, new years and the list just keeps going on. Have we seen any of those attacks? No. So, in my humble opinon this is just another stupid scare. I mean, 4th of July is a huge holiday so people just assume something bad is going to happen. Then someone says, "well I heard he just released another video.." and then it traveled about and now we have this mass hysteria that he is going to attack on the fourth of July. And lets be rational for a second. Do you honestly think he is going to carry through with a plan that everyone expects, down to the exact day? Come on...

In my opinion, if he strikes back it will be at a time no one expects. None of this holiday crap and what not. It will be when everyone is "sleeping".

Then when there finally was a wolf, nobody took him seriously, just like nobody is taking Bin Laden seriously. I\'m not saying I think he\'ll attack, it\'s just something I thought about.

Bin Laden WANTS attention.. he wants to make a big scene... and if the\'s going to strike.. it\'ll be on a significant day to either us or to Afghani\'s/Radical Muslims. Jus remember how they orchistrated the 9/11 attacks.. with the second plane hitting the towers in jus enough time for the news media to arrive on the scene.

To think that he\'s not going to strike again is stupid.. and it\'s the kind of thinking that got us into this mess in the first place. I don\'t quite think it\'s going to be anything major anytime soon.. since it takes him roughtly 1-3 years on average to pull off an attack. This guy\'s good.. I mean.. he\'s a pro.. he can wait for as long as he needs to be successful. The longer he waits.. the more lax we become. Too many of these "Terrorist Threats" that never pan out, and we\'ll get complacant again. Which is what he wants.

I think for now, it\'s all talk. It\'s a diversion, for something bigger that\'s going to happen in the future.

They came back and took a skull and since then it\'s dissapeared.. with the only speculation being that there\'s TOP TOP brass people working on it, trying to reconstruct the face.

He was here for 11 years or so, and apparrently wasn\'t happy with this country. On Sep. 11th he hung an Afganistan flag (or some other flag that wasn\'t appropriate at the time) on his apartment balcany. And sense he didn\'t like the country, he decided he\'d kill people.

I dunno if any of this is true, i just heard bits and pieces at different times.
