Title: Interesting sales figures inside

XBox has so far outsold GC Every month but 1 in the US, leading to a 430,000 lead on consoles sold so far. This really dispells the myth that GC had low sales initially becaue of low shipments and would eventually be beating XBox handily, quite nicely. Don\'t you think?

PS2 rambles on, unchallenged by all :)

Interesting read Eric, it actually was good to see the Genny vs. Snes numbers.

oh hey way... almost 500 posts.. Gaming Age is where you spend your time now instead of here???  Come on Mr. Jacob.. your standards are higher than that  ;)

You can carry on good discussions at GA without having SOny fans constantly harping stupid points. Sure the nintendo fanboys come in, but they are easy to deal with, as their brains haven\'t fully developed yet. That and there are actually Sega fanboys like me still over there.

News gets posted days before over here and is usually less negatively slanted. On whole, GA is a much better BBS than here, although this boards glory days were much better than the pathetic trolls we have here today. The old guys now gone were all great, even if I hated their guts. The old guys now trolls sucks, too.

Sometimes I feel that your brain isn\'t fully developed yet, and that you harp stupid points.. so I wouldn\'t go \'dere Mr. Jacob.. ;) Hehe, all joking aside.. the numbers are very interesting.

NES outsold PSX in America.. and N64 outsold SNES.. that\'s wild. It seems that Genesis kept up a better pace than SNES in 1994, even though the SNES clobbered it with high-profile games that year. Again I state, very interesting.

No, Billy, you have always been a troll and will never be portrayed as old by me. I am talking about Chrono, mm, etc.

Both had visible bias against MS before XBox launched, but now both have full on hatred of them, every thread with MS mentioned in it will receive hate by either of these two.

Hey Altered.. you know after you and others complained about this problem Ryu went about opening a new section for people like you to post with the freedom you so wished for to discuss consoles.  Now that that forum is available with all the intelligent members (and those that arent, posting at the very least repectably *except for a Clowd post i deleted*) why do you still continue to persist in this crusade against how poor our forums are?  You were one of the motivations behind our new area and since its inception you have almost neglected it in favor of the old Debate section.  A section you repeatedly claim you only visit to prove people wrong.  Why don\'t you visit the Discussion area and post threads, innitiate discussions and the like?  It\'s what we all wanted.

At the moment it is still teething so most threads are pretty standard but surely you could add to these, or your own with your own thoughts about various aspects of the industry today.  Seems reasonable to me.

I was thinking about posting this same topic (slightly toned down for CDiscussion) but I know it would never fly over there. A few replies after would have it back in Debating, ugly as ever. I try and post in CDiscussion but many of the topics bcome boring and stagnant since nobody posts in it.

Well, at least you thought about it. :)  I was about to use this as an example, but no need now :)

I stated that the threads were standard and the forum still going through its teething phase purely because of the reasons you listed.  The threads become stagnant when people stop discussing.  They merely post their thoughts and move on.  There is nothing much to discuss.  Also the fact that currently people are still starting up debates.  However you cant expect this to stop immediately and by completely avoiding the process you were active (non-directly?) could be doing nothing but hampering the process.

(here comes my example anyway) Perhaps you should have tried posting it in discussion only without the underlying "I told you so" tag.  I guarantee you people such as L-I-C, Ryu, SonyFan and others who you may respect (Billy Gunn?) would reply with thoughts and allow you to discuss.  If not this thread, then the next thread.  Or whichever thread piques their interest.  If no threads are posted, how can you expect to ever get the discussion you want?

Bleh :)  Its 5 god damn am now... screw you im off to bed :p

Yeah, I perfectly happy with both forums now.  Although the discussions over there are a little benign (sp?) right now, I\'m sure it\'ll pick up once it shakes down.

The homoerotic undertones of the WWE are undeniable.  Grown, sweaty men, rolling around in nothing but a speedo?  C\'mon, you\'ve got to be kidding yourself.

What gets me is that all those little kids get so excited when Trish Stratus wrestles some other plastic bimbo because it\'s two girls, in close proximity rolling around and getting physical--they certainly don\'t miss the homoerotic undertones then.

But when the guys are the ones rolling around...they are two separate things.  Go figure.

 WTF is the Master System on that list?? Sure, it wasn\'t nearly the success that the NES was, but come on.. it really boomed later in it\'s life after it recieved ports of popular Genesis titles. Even went through three incarnations, much like the NES did. (Last one had an Alex Kidd game built in instead of the Snail Maze I believe)

Surely it sold more than 1.4 million copies, which would put it above the Saturn in overall sales and make it eligable for the list.

Untrue ooseven the Greeks created the Olympics but not sports. Sports go as far back as Cavemen. Hunting, sure Cavemen may not have seen hunting as a sport but today hunting is a sport. Therefor the cavemen have created the first sport by just trying to survive.

Well, no not really. That logic just does not make sense. They didn\'t consider it a sport, it was just a requirement for surival.
