Tekken 4 ;)
I\'ve been playing that for the past couple of months. What separates Tekken 4 from the other Tekken\'s has to be Force mode. It\'s hard but cool. The endings are great, the graphics are beautiful, the musics good, and the overall feel of the game is better than the others in the series.

Cool!!!!  I also think tekken 4 has the  best play control due to the fully 3d backgrounds which are really cool also.:)

Do you know when Tekken 4 will be released here in the U.S? I already have the import but I was wondering if they\'ll add any extras, do you guys know?

T2 is the only one worth playing.

heh..I\'ve heard aug. but who knows.

As for subject, T3 was my favortie. TT only left a dry feeling in my mouth. I hate those "hold them over for a while" games. Havent played T4 yet..so cant speak about it, but Im almost positive it will be my new favorite once its out if my expectations are met.

I never played the original Tekken.  Loved Tekken 3, and it was the first one i REALLY got into.  So i bought Tekken Tag and its my favorite :)

Tekken 2, I\'m really much more of a Soul Calibur/Blade fighter tho.

They\'re easier to love than, say, all the Mario or Sonic games, because they\'re all on those spiffy "CD"-type things with the hole in the middle, not some weird carts.

No, wait, there\'s Tekken Advance, aww hell.

tekken 2 is the one I played the most. I eventually bought tekken 3 but didn\'t play it as much as 2.  Guess I got burnt out on fighting games after that.

They all have their individual advantages and disadvantages:

Tekken 1:  The Good -- it was pretty original (lets not start a "Tekken copied Virtua Fighter" argument though ;)).  The combo system was a great start, and the characters were easy to fall in love with.

The Bad -- some combos took off way too much, even 100%!  The characters were not balanced very well either.

Tekken 2: The Good -- by far the best music and best environments.  King\'s stage was beautiful and had the music to match.  The characters are much better balanced than Tekken 1 also.  The new characters were memorable, the storyline was at its prime, and it was released at the time when arcades were still very popular. (I MISS THOSE DAYS!)

The Bad -- There were still quite a few clone characters.

Tekken 3:  The Good -- This is probably the most balanced Tekken game (iirc).  There were still character tiers, but they weren\'t as spread out as in other Tekkens.  The clone characters became their own person for the most part with their own move lists.

The Bad -- Eddy.

TTT:  The Good -- Great graphics.  A whole lot of characters.  The return of old favorites (from T2 ;)).

The Bad -- character balance is horrible.  PS2 version\'s music sucks compared to the arcade counterpart and to previous Tekkens IMO.

Tekken 4: The Good -- The death of some clones (Armor King, Kunimitsu, etc).  The characters\' move lists were added to enormously again.  Steve Fox (very original).

The Bad -- character balance is once again messed up slightly, with Paul and Jin being the biggest culprits of this problem.  The complete change in gameplay style (no more backdash?!)  Over priority regular punches.  Blah blah blah.  Too many problems to go on listing.

I wish I could spend more time with Tekken 4, but as of right now, I\'m thinking of just waiting for a souped up Tekken 5. :)  Tekken 4 was only in development for around a year, and it unfortunately shows.

As a fighting game, I think that Tekken 3 was the best.  It had the most polished fighting engine and most refined gameplay.  For overall presentation though, Tekken 2 wins hands down.

My favorite Tekken is TTT (but then again, I\'ve only tried T3 and TTT).

Can\'t really comment on Tekken 4 just yet since I haven\'t played it yet, so TTT\'s my favorite in the series. Don\'t know, I loved Tekken 2, but then hated Tekken 3 (PAL was very slow and I had just gotten into the fast DoA gameplay). Tekken Tag just brought it all back and it being slightly faster than the previous parts (better framerates) was a big plus.

Can\'t wait for part 4 though.... :)

Probably Tekken 3...

Tekken 4 sucks...

TTT is a weak attempt to milk the Tekken series and didn\'t even do the tag team feature right, like Capcom did...
