Title: Kevin Nash had a bad night tonight
Post by: EmperorRob on July 08, 2002, 07:19:10 PM
3 months on the DL and he comes back not 2 seconds into the ring and re-injures his knee, badly.  You could tell he was limping when he stepped over the rope.

That sucks.

He took a bad hop, fell, and screamed.

Now who knows how long he\'ll be in re-hab.  He was just too anxious to get back in the ring.

Actually he wasn\'t too anxious, the writters pushed him into it. When he showed up at the arena he wasn\'t even expecting to wrestle.

By the way, it wasn\'t a knee injury, he tore his quad, much like Triple H did last year. It looks like Nash\'s career could be over due to the nature of the injury and his age.

Yet another that should probably wrap it up in the business.

Hmmm... lets see now Vince made a pretty good investment when he brought in Hogan, Nash, and Hall. Hall made an ass out of himself and got fired. Nash\'s body can\'t take the stress of working in the ring anymore, and Hogan is slowly dying on TV each week. Good move Vinny Mac.

Talk about irony. Poor Nash...

But the nWo sucks anyway, so its not like we\'ll be missing anything...

\'cept Kevin Nash...and that DOES suck.

since I watched the match knowing he was going to hurt himself, i noticed that his knee was bothering him the second he stepped in the ring.  He reached down and rubbed his knee the first time he planted.  This makes me think he was worried about his knee, overcompinsated, and tore his quad.

with the NWO only having 2 members that will be able to wrestle, I would say that HHH may actually join them.  It was looking like it was gonna be HHH turning them gown at vengance, in order to fued with them, but now I think that the WWE has the NWO too involved in angles to trash the stable, thus they will need more bodies.  Also Guerro and Beniot may join.

I\'d say the best way to handle it, especially if Nash is out for a while would be to hire Scott Steiner right away.

Have Nash say he has a replacement for during his absence and they can debut Big Poppa Pump before Vengeance.

That would make sense and leave the nWo in good shape for HHH to turn them down and start the first PPV to PPV feud between Raw and Smackdown.

Who knows, but it certainly sucked what happened to Nash.  He got a big pop, I know I still like him, and the nWo story was starting to take shape and gain momentum.

They went on without him and I hope they can keep the nWo interesting...

Hire Scott Stiener? Hmmmmm.... they are interested in him but they are worried about his injury status, that\'s what might keep him out.

Triple H was out for 8 months with this injury, but someone who is older and less fit like Nash will take 12 months to heal. looks like its time for big Kev to retire!

isn\'t steiner signed?  I thought the wwe had already planned his debut, to be sometime in August

*edit*just remembered that he cut his NWA comitment short, and hasn\'t signed yet, but is expected to debut in August

They have been hoping to have him in by August or so but like I said earlier they have concerns about his health. He might not be able to wrestle in some states in the US because of his health. He has something called "drop foot syndrome", I have no idea what that is.

i\'ve read that he\'s been cleared to wrestle by the doctors.  and he said that he was tennative to sign with the WWE, because of his health concerns, but I would imagine with his clean bill of health he would have little standing between him and a WWE contract.

I read that Steiner and Goldberg have not yet signed contracts.  At least Steiner hasn\'t.  Goldberg is still thinking about it.

Goldberg is a putz.

If they were so worried about injuries, they wouldn\'t have put Nash out a week ahead of time.  They could really use Steiner now, I think it\'d be a perfect save.  The only other option to make it worth watching might be a return to the ring for HBK, and that\'s something he might not want to do.

The latest is six months recovery for Nash.  And that\'s a damn shame.  Here\'s hoping it goes by quickly, I was excited to see him return.

this makes me think that we could see the young talent pushed to main event too quickly.  they might start using Brock as a main eventer, and that could give him the Goldberg curse.

Brock is going to be a main eventer next month :p

yeah, but i meant as a full time main eventer.  hell edge was the winner last year, and look where he is now.
