I had the fortune to play Segas NHL 2K2 on Dreamcast and it was the best Hockey game I\'ve ever seen for a Console system... I was even going to buy a Dreamcast just to get that game...

Then I heard that NHL 2K3 would be coming out for the PS2...

Is there anyone on these forums that can get me an accurate release date for this game ? [Is it also true that the Gamecube will be getting the game too ?]

It will be released this fall.....somewheres around when NHL 2003 comes out....although i suspect that Visual Concepts will hold the game another week or 2 later to be more accurate on the rosters.
