Ahh yes, good ol\' AI. Anyone else tired of him? God, I can\'t stand him. Anyways, here\'s a good article.

I hope he goes to jail. Athletes get away with this type of shit way too often. They shouldn\'t. He should be punished for this stuff just like normal people.
-
Wow, I agree with you on something.
-
i disagree......not because of my views on the subject, just because if i agreed with both shockwaves, and fayded at the same time, i might just hang myself.
-
I hate Mr. Iverson w/ passion.
I\'d be the first one to laugh when he gets his final sentence.
Watch his self image really take a plummet
Not that I care anyways, just the jersey sales might go down...just a little? haahahah

I\'ve been in similar positions to that. During the All Star game, for example, I found myself routing for the same team as just about everyone I talk to online, even though we can never agree on anything regarding baseball. I considered switching teams, just to disagree with them.

Same here. The single most overrated player in the NBA if you ask me. Well, maybe with the exception of Vince Carter, who proved when he got hurt that his team actually was better off without him.
-
most overrated would be Vince, most deffinetly. Fun to watch, but doesn\'t do nearly enough on the court for his team. Al is a strong second, I mean it\'s hard not to score 30 when you shoot as much as he does.
-
No kidding. I hate when people say "Oh Allen Iverson is the best he can score 50 a game any night." Yeah, when he shoots 40 shots it shouldn\'t be that hard.
-
Nah..most over rated would be Shaq. Slim that guy down some, watch how much his game dwindles. He posses minimal skill compared to other centers.
As for AI..who cares what he does? Is it really bothering you?Athletes..actors..musicians..business men..they all use their money to get out of shit. If we all had serious dough like they do, we would also be using our money to help minimize the serverity of our actions.

Dude, the Raptors situation with Carter has been looked at so wrong. I\'ll break it down to you.
When Vince got injured, the Raptors had a decision to make. They were in a position to either clintch the 8th seed or just play out the rest of the reason, and not care what will happen in the remaining games.
The guys had to come together and find out that they can still function as a team without Vince. They aren\'t better without him. Vince is their leader.
They could\'ve used Vince\'s assistance in the 1st round, though. Thats where the Raptors probally need Vince the most, expirence pays off.
-
Then I wonder where his assistance was when they were sucking throughout the first 60 odd games of the season...
I\'ve hated Allen Iverson since Day one, basically. His image is repulsive, and he was the SOLE reason why I rooted for the LAKERS in the 2001 NBA Finals...that, and Lue was guarding him (which he did an awesome job of). The fact that this man made me root for the Lakers is something in itself, considering Mutombo is one of my favorite NBA players.
The Tatoos, the bandanas, the sock on his arm, the 35 shots a game, it sucks. He also seems to have a lot of "slumps". Hmm...maybe, JUST maybe, because he sucks? Ahh yes, that would be a good reason.
See Yuz.
-
I think maybe the problem with the Raptors was that Vince HAD to be the leader, and he wasn\'t necessarily the right man to be a vocal leader and such. Perhaps that\'s why you didn\'t see these problems when they had a man like Charles Oakley on the team.
And Shaq? Most Overrated? Not even close.
-
Carter is too lazy. He could be pretty darn good and be the true leader of the Raptors. But he chooses to jog up and down the court, shoot tough jump shots instead of going the hole, and when he had "jumpers knee" or whatever he had, he wouldn\'t even try to do much on the court.
And about Shaq, there is no way he can be most overrated. Sure, knock of alot of pounds to make him as big as, say, Alonzo Mourning, but he\'d still be one of the best centers in the league. He just probably wouldn\'t dominate like he does now.

I drink my 40s and shoot my 9. Don\'t ask me on a straight tequila night.

There was a quote from ESPN that I think sums up my views nicely:
Welcome to the jock culture, where missing practice gets you an organization\'s scorn but felony charges get you complete, unconditional solidarity.
