Is it any good?
-
It is very good, the only downside is that the PAL version suffers from a few framerate problems in certain places.
This is the only criticism and does not spoil the execellent playability in any way.
-
Someone told me thta there were not a lot of missions though.
True?
-
There are 20 missions I believe.. maybe a few more, but the replay value is high... after you beat the game you can work on getting all the medals you missed the first time through. The music is awesome too. It\'s a really good game (to me anyways)
-
it\'s 15 missions, and they are not long... it won\'t teke many hours to complete it... the replay value; hmmm, not that good, cuz soldiers come from the same spots each and every time. and that medal thing.... hmmm, i gave it up quite early...
it\'s a good game, but not a long game
edit: name: medal of HONOR frontline ;)

In the Queens English, the correct pronounciation HONOUR

some of the missions are INCREDIBLE, with mose being fun to play
its well worth the money
-
Its alright, not nearly as good as Allied Assault. Still is fun to play but I\'d just rent it.
-
i was wrong...there\'s 19 missions

Pfft..
Frontline > Allied Assault (aka Quake in WW2)
-
Your so hilarious. Allied Assault\'s levels are better, the AI is better, it looks better, its harder, and it still has some sort of muli-player. You can\'t be serious.
-
I got it and I was impressed. Though the ending sucked major azz.
-
Frontline is the best single player FPS on any console this generation..
:)

Yeah, this time the Germans win.
-
they do???????
you stole the plane so they could not win the war in the air... pluss, you killed that german officer

Thanks for spoiling it for me, I WAS thinking about buying it.

Allied Assault is over rated, multi is fine as long as you dont mind someone letting off a rocket in your face every 30 seconds, dont know about the AI being better, the friendlies in AA were about as dumb as they get. Enemy AI is good in both versions.
Frontline has much better levels imo, Arnhem Knights, Rough landing are fantastic, as is Omaha which is far more interactive than AA\'s mad dash for cover.
Frontline maybe a little short but its still a great game, well worth buying.

I hope you\'re being sarcastic.
-
No.
-
And thats stopping you buying it?? Oh dear. Games are for playing, you want a story, watch a film
-
Yah, Frontline really isnt very storyline heavy. Those things he said were pretty much the objectives given to you in the first 3 minutes of the game.
Go buy the game.
-
I played the demo of this game, and I got stuck in the ground. That\'s all the demo I needed. I won\'t be buying Medal of Honor: Frontline for the PS2, but I might eventually get the PC version.

Please, I\'ve had more fun on AA online than any other FPS. I\'m in a clan and I own 99% of people that play the game. Nobody can hang with the rifle, bar, and smg. And the levels on Frontline IMO were a joke. In AA their were snipers that trapped you in a spot and if you ran out you would die. Very realistic, made the game so much fun. While Frontline at any setting is just a run and gun, nothing more. What about the last level, it was terrible. And with your Omaha comment. On AA it was true to how it was in real life, you hang out on the beach, you die. While in Frontline you could just dance around, terrible. And the leaning problem in Frontline is really bad too. Where they are supposidly leaning around the corner but really their whole body is just standing out in the open with their back turned.

"On AA it was true to how it was in real life"
sorry but thats taking it too far :)
"While Frontline at any setting is just a run and gun, nothing more"
and Allied Assault is?
Is just my opinion, Allied Assault is Serious Sam with a BAR, Frontline is really not that different, many of the levels are better imo, is a very good FPS and well worth buying.

Compared to Frontline it was pretty realistic.

No, AA is far from a run and gun. It is way to easy to get killed to be a run and gun.

How are the levels better? I think almost every single one was terrible. Unrealistic placement of guys and health was one of the big problems.

Coredweller, if you think the demo is any indication as to how the final game plays, you are wrong. :D
The only downside to Frontline was the control scheme. After garnering numerous hours on PC FPS\'s, I can honestly say that any FPS that doesn\'t support both keyboard/mouse AND Dual Shock control is just piss-poor. ESPECIALLY since they made AA. To be honest, its the ONLY reason I liked AA more, control.
Frontline was an excellent game. If you don\'t pick it up, you are missing out on a great experience. This game features something I\'ve never encountered before, civilian interaction (in a very limited way, of course :D ).

Great game and...the sound...oh yes the sound effects played on a 5.1 surround system is nice. Oh yes....the sound!
