YES! the yankees streak of winning after 8 innings is OVER! they WERE 51-0 until today! Bottom of the 9th, 2 out, bases Juiced full of Indians and a 2-2 count Bill Selby hits a Grand Slam HR to propel the indians past the Yankees 10-7 thus Stopping the Streak! and they split the series 2-2, they came back from being down 7 through 5 innings (3 in the 6th, 1 in the 7th, and 6 in the 9th). sorry if I rambled but what a game!

I\'m an injuns fan. Although I quit following after they fell 7 games below .500 . But, yay. Only 10 games behind the Twins.
-
Oh, come on. We all know how the season\'s gonna end.

Quit ur whining, the mets payroll is pretty damn big too, to bad they wasted their god damn money on that wash up 1B vaughn and that outfielder burnitz
-
I\'m not whining. I\'m just about as big of a yanks fan as a mets fan. Infact, I like going to Yankees games a lot more than Mets games. Some of my best baseball memories are still from 96...and last year too. :)

yup, i love the yankees too, 96 had to be one of the greatest sports experiences i\'ve ever had, last year, was awesome, till game 7 i still cant watch luis gonzalez hitting that winning run in, i still cringe.
-
Of course, I did route for the Mets in 2000 :p
-
i remember my days in Yankee stadium...masterbating on third base, ahh memories...

Haha. I still smile when I see Gonzo\'s hit.
"Bell on 3rd, here comes the pitch...GONZO HITS A SHORT BLOOPER OVER JETER\'S HEAD! THE DIAMONDBACKS WIN THE WORLD SERIES!"
Ahh yes, now cringe. :D
-
The diamond backs have 3 good players randy johnson, curt schilling, and kim(mainly cuz he helped out the yankees so much)
-
Yes, they only have 3 good players but are one of the top teams in the league.
And you people that don\'t think Kim is very good are wrong. Yes, I know he chokes on the national stage in front of everyone, but he\'s a damn good pitcher out of the spotlight.
-
Out of the spotlight won\'t win you anything important. Ask Armando Benitez about that :(
-
Anything important? It gives your team the almighty W, which is the most important stat of all.
-
A single game in the course of a 162 game season isn\'t much. A single game in a seven game playoff series is. There\'s a big difference.
-
Ok, now how did we get to this point? I said Kim is alot better pitcher than people that don\'t watch the D-Backs regularly think.
-
And I disagree, because if you can\'t win the big games, you aren\'t worth much.
-
Once again, I don\'t watch baseball until its the final game of the World Series. Yes, I suck. lol.
-
Tony, what\'s this "I\'m just as much of a Yankees fan as I am a Mets fan" crap? You only start talking about the Yankees when playoff time comes around, then all of the sudden you\'re a fan. During the season, it\'s all Mets. You don\'t start talking about the Yankees in the season until the Mets start ****ing it up bigtime (which they have this season, trade all of the high priced idiots for talent).
As for me...Cubs all the way :D
See Yuz.

I watch both teams the whole year, it\'s just that when I have a choice, I usually watch the Mets over the Yankees. You hear more about them in the playoffs because the Mets are usually out at that point, so I focus completely on the Yankees.
-
Yes, then you watched Gonzo get the hit in Game 7. I cheered, you didn\'t. Haw haw. :D
-
I also watched Jeter\'s play in the As series. And the back to back two out, down by two, one runner on, game tying home runs in the bottom of the ninth. I wouldn\'t trade those things for a title if given the chance. I\'ll remember this year better than 98, for example, for sure.
-
Those 2 game winning home runs never happened. Why? Because I said so. Therefore, we can all be quiet about it.
-
Yankees suck, they spend way more money than everyone and they still don\'t out perform every team. How sad is that. While the Reds on the other hand, do exceptionally well with having very little money. A salary cap has to be put on next year. Just to shutup yankee fans and players who don\'t see anything wrong with what they\'re doing.
-
I\'ve liked both the Yankees and the Mets since well before the Yanks payroll skyrocketed. I\'m not gonna change my team because of that. If anything, it just shows their commitment to winning. If other teams can\'t fill their ball parks as well, I have no pity for them. That just shows that their fans aren\'t as dedicated. Don\'t even tell me that it is because of the size of the city either, because you have to really divide the size in half because it has two teams. Is there something wrong with what the Yanks are doing? A little. But I think it\'s much worse when you have Devil Ray fans complaining. Fill your park, then come back and talk.
