Here\'s the league at NFL.com, it\'s just for the PSX2members, and it free. As for the people who said that they wanted to join earlier, PM me and I\'ll send you the password. I\'m pming the password so that n00bs don\'t take all of the slots. And if you are a n00b, or aren\'t on the list in the Fantasy Football thread, we have 2 spots open, so just ask to join in this thread.
*edit* good news, it\'s free. bad news, they don\'t have live drafts anymore, but we might just set up a second league on yahoo so that we can have some live draft goodness.
-
I don\'t watch football until it\'s the SuperBowl. Yes, I suck.
-
well NFL.com has made it where all free leagues have to have salary caps, and have to play by NFL.com rules. I\'ve never played with a cap...so this should be interesting.
-
Ar...what happened to Yahoo?
Meh, I\'ll join anyways :)
See Yuz.
Edit: Maybe I should read the 2nd part of people\'s posts more often, hehe. When will you have it set up?
-
Hmmm Interesting. I was going to ask why the draft was automated. that\'s interesting.
I like the default draft order. Why anyone would pick there defense before their backup QB is beyond me.
-
Im still gonan dot he yahoo one..but Im in for this one as well. You have a PM omen!
-
Yeah, I think Yahoo would have been better. But 2 leagues is fine. :D
CHECK YER PM\'S!
-
Well with the one league being auto it\'s no biggie. The live draft is what makes it fun. Although it\'s not nearly as much fun as if the draft were at a bar till the wee hours of the morn.
-
well I\'m gonna bump this so that other people will see it.
And also, we\'ll have the yahoo league setup as soon as they let us. Probably a couple weeks before the season starts. I\'m just hoping yahoo still allows free live drafts.
-
So are we doing both nfl and Yahoo ?
-
yeah, when yahoo opens it\'s doors either myself or luckee will setup a league. whether or not they\'ll have free live drafts is another story.
-
Yahoo will have free live drafts. Trust me.
-
Yep, always do, it\'s quite nice.
And don\'t set it up just a couple of weeks before the season starts...they usually start to let you set things up by late July/early August, so set it up as early as possible...as for a draft date, well, that\'s a different story. Either way, I\'m in :)
See Yuz.
-
Sorry guys but I probably won\'t be joining the nfl.com one because that would make me in 3 fantasy leagues this year and thats a huge hastle.
But on a good note (if you considered the previous one bad...), YAHOO FOOTBALL IS UP!
Just go to Yahoo!, type Fantasy Football in its search engine, and click Yahoo Fantasy Football, and the rest is self explanatory!
-------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Someone hurry and make the league before I do. :D
-
Yeah, someone make the league and I\'ll go sign up.
And don\'t make the draft on a Tuesday night.
-
Well... We can actually do an Off Line draft as well and meet in the PSX2Central Chat Room and do it there... although it would be hectic... nevermind forget that idea...
And here\'s my suggestion on positions:
1 QB
3 RBs
4 WRs
1 TE
1 K
1 D
4 BENCH
And even it out so Yardage and TD points are 50/50.
-
I disagree. I think it should be limited to 2 running backs. There aren\'t enough to go around if we do 3, especially if we end up with 12 people in the league. I\'d suggest:
1 QB
2 RB
2-3 WR
1 TE
1 K
1 Defense
4 bench
-
12 * 3 = 36
Yikes... your right... and some people like to place RB\'s on their bench as well... There\'d be 3rd stringers on some rosters...
And yes I do realize that some teams have 2nd and 3rd RB\'s that get play time, but none of which are fantasy studs.
So, then bump it to 3 WR\'s.
-
Actually, I take it back, my original idea would work, just look at the top 48 RB\'s (Supposing EVERYONE gets 1 RB on their bench) Disregard the numbers.

All decent RB\'s overall...
-
i\'ll set it up...how do we want it?
-
Meh.. Go with shockwaves roster setup.. that works too.
-
and when do we want to draft? mid august? early august?
how about aug 17, 3-6pm pst
-
There\'s a problem with that RB list though. A lot of the people on it can\'t really be counted as seperate RBs. Take Fred Taylor and Stacey Mack. If Taylor is healthy, Mack will get virtually no carries. However, Taylor gets hurt a lot, and when he does, Mack plays, and can be ok. Only one will really be doing much at once though. There are several other places where the same thing is true. Domonic Rhodes and Edgerrin James is another example. Others, like LaMont Jordan, will not get much at all throughout the season, and aren\'t worth playing. Then there are some teams you listen 3 running backs for, like the Stealers. 3 RBs will not all get time if they are all healthy.
If you bring it above 2, things will really get messy. Keep it at 2.

Aug. 17th is fine.
Shockwaves you are right.... but guys like Mack and Rhodes would make decent bench RB\'s.
-
Omen, it sounds good.
1 point for every 50 yards passing though... maybe like 35... but, everything else is perfect.
Whats the league password?
-
the ID# is 3284
password is the same as the other league...check your pm
-
Errors:
The password is incorrect.
The league has already drafted. You can not join a league postdraft
EDIT :Forget it...
-
I\'m in the league. The password worked fine for me.
I didn\'t know Yahoo started football yet. Damn, it\'s good to be back to yahoo fantasy football :)
-
I might just leave the draft order as a first come first serve. I don\'t know though. any sugestions?
or maybe I\'ll deal the draft picks out to who i like most :)
-
That depends...Who you planning on picking #1?
-
Leave it as first come first serve. :D
I get pick number 2. :D
-
mike alstot......j/k
-
Just set up the order randomly.
But if it\'s of who you like best....
I always thought you were the sexiest person here.
:D
-
Can I have the #1 pick? :)
Please?
I\'ll give you sexual favors in return for that pick!
-
Well its not doing it by first come first serve, but just record it so far it looks like:
1. Theomen
2. Shockwaves
3. Vapor Snake
4. ?
I\'m gonna call it a night, tomorrow I\'ll do my pre-rankings. :D
-
i might randomize it, but I\'ve randomized 3 times now and I still have the number one pick...I think this thing likes me.
-
The 4th person was Jamas. I want the #1 pick still though! Argh!
-
wtf. I get that error that Vapor had...arr
-
try it again, \'cause it has worked for everybody else.
-
Still won\'t work. I made sure the password it right and everything.
*sigh*
-
I hate Yahoo.
Yahoo Pool sucks and now this.
Die Yahoo. :rpissed:
-
hmmm....no spaces in the pass, typed in the id# correctly? with no spaces at the end?
-
Yahoo is by far the best free fantasy football system out there. It definitely does not suck!
-
HO HO! AFTER 15 TIMES IT WORKS!
-
u ph33r?...i meant qu33r
-
Fantasy Football Time. RAH. I\'m in both leagues, and I personally think that you should randomize the order. First come first serve kind of sucks, because, as in Fayded\'s case earlier, you might not be able to get in before somebody else (like he would have before I had gotten there).
So yeah, randomize it, and it will be cool. I also got lucky that this won\'t conflict with my bro\'s weekend schedule for going to mom and dads...yay :)
See Yuz.
-
it\'s going to be randomized, and if Vid, luckee and the others that want to join don\'t do so very soon, I\'ll PM them the info, they might not check this thread, thinking this is just the same old crap.
