in the right forum now.
My dialup runs at around 6 - 7k. My pages load fast too.. so i won\'t bother playing around with any settings...

56k Connection with a internal Swann II modem.

ahmm... and could you explain me how the hell can you reach 7kb speed with that connection? I guess it because that kinda modem that I haven\'t any idea about what is.

Its got more to do with my ISP then my modem. Most isp say that your getting a 56k connection. When indeed your not. My isp is providing a 56k connection. You may have a 56k modem. But may be limited to a 33k connection etc.  
56k is 56kbits not bytes.. 8bits = 1 byte. Divide 56 x 8 = 7k.  I normaly download around 6.4k a second. 7k if i haven\'t any chat programs running or if i\'m not surfin the net... etc.

At least that\'s something aussies don\'t get screwed over in.. When it comes to cable... Can you say, ripp off.

just one note there moovingnstereo1, you should\'ve used "your" instead of "youre". You\'re = you are.

soulgrind u must be having one of the best dialup connection ever , coz when i was on dialup i was lucky if my DL speed reached 2~3kbps, thank goodness for dsl

lol.. I feel lucky. I guess my ISP is a pretty good one. Booby is on the same ISP and same deal. So i donno what he gets. Probably same as me. :)

I average around 210...mwahaha....
