just wondering, does every Socom come with a headset? Because that is what i heard but amazon.com is $39.99 and doesnt show a picture of th headset, and on gamestop.com it shows the headset and is $59.99. Amazon\'s is 20 bux cheaper but i also dont want to get screwed out of the headset. Thanks.

There are two versions.. One with the headset ($59.99) and without ($39.99)

I would think so.  The game does look sweet in every way and the headset still would be of use with the teammate AI.

I have no way of taking Socom online do to the fact it\'s BB only and I can\'t get BB here. I\'ve had my Socom on pre order for a couple weeks already. I think Socom is well worth it even for offline play only. The headset does work offline also and there are like 16 missions I believe to keep you busy offline. I think it is worth buying if you play offline or online.

hmm..i wonder why its so much cheaper....either people get screwed out of 20 bux or get screwed out of a headset

Eh, Personally, Saving 20 dollars isnt worth missing out on such a big part of the game.
Just spring for the whole package, and enjoy the game.

At one of the funcolands around here one of the workers had the demo...he took it home and has been playing it for like 2 months now..bastad I wanna try it too.

Here\'s my question. What if you have a terrible southern accent or something? Does the AI still respond? Or do you just look like a fool screaming at the TV goin, "Attack!!!"   insert *southern accent*?

I watched a video on some demo disk where it explained that the headset worked over 90% time.  They also said there was a russian man on their developing team who had a large accent and it understood him.

It\'s not that I have a heavy southern accent. I was actually just curious on how well they got the voice regonition in the game, see\'ing as with PC programs and what not, it has been a hit and miss thing for the most part.

If it does indeed work 90% of the time, that\'s a damn impressive feat.

Wow, Being able to understand different Accents is crazy.
I wonder if they\'re doing anything, or will do anything with overseas play? o_O
