Title: Mozilla skins.
Post by: Living-In-Clip on July 27, 2002, 06:30:24 AM
I just downloaded the Mozilla web-browser, because IE sucks for the MAC and noticed you could get various skins for it. Anyone know a good site for some? Please, do not point me to deskmod.com or whatever, as I have been there and checked all their links and it is the same five skins  - which I\'ve already downloaded.

I figured nO-One or someone may have a couple handy links with some decent skins tho.

;)

Thanks in advance.

I got the style I am using, Lopburi Flat, from here:
http://themes.mozdev.org/
Whether or not those are compatible with Macs I don\'t know.
It\'s the one I\'ve been using for a while now.

Well since I don\'t really use Mozilla I don\'t know the best source for Mozilla themes.

However if you are trying out new browsers I highly suggest you try Opera, it\'s a damned good browser.
If you\'re using OS X you could also try OmniWeb, iCab and Chimera.

Thanks, Rob.

nO-One, what\'s so good about Opera, if you don\'t mind me asking?

Yeah mozdev is probably the best place.  All Moz software/themes are cross platform.

Opera isn\'t bad.  My biggest complaint is it\'s lack of support for the DOM and a few really weird CSS bugs.  Opera 7 sounds promising though.  They rebuilt the engine from scratch.

It\'s fast but I just never got into it.  They\'re big supporters of the W3C standards which is a good thing too.
