ugh....sound good, but no performance help....

well I\'ll help you anyway.  You will want to forget about Flowmaster, unless you want a constant drone in the cabin.  They sound great on v8\'s, but suck for 4 bangers.

Borla is arguably one of the best mufflers in the world, but I don\'t know the exact cost, probably about 200 bucks.  Apexi is alright.  Alot of mopar guy\'s like dynomax, but I\'d go with Borla.

You should have mandrel bent 2 1/4" pipping which isn\'t that restrictive, considering you\'re not pushing out any 300hp, so you shouldn\'t worry about new pipes.

But if you do go and get a new downpipe, don\'t go above 2.5" you may loose back pressure, and thus you\'ll loose your low end.

I use a magnaflow straight muffler (no baffeling)on my car, I also have a 2.5" downpipe, luckily I don\'t have to worry about back pressure due to a turbo charged engine. (I\'ve been pulling 13\'s but I\'ll be in the 12\'s by December)

No kidding.  Luckee is the Neon master, so you should wait until he returns, and ask his advice.  Either that or post your question on one of these Neon forums:

f** them... be more specific in your needs. I didnt know another neon enthusiast was in here other than myself..even more surprised is that it is one with a 2.4 swap.

Do you want header back..cat-back..or just a muffler?
