Some things i found interesting on "gulp" IGN\'s boards.
Q&A (http://boards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=25012524)
#.How much longer is this game than the first?
Doug responds: One question, dude. One. Anyway, ths game looks be substantially longer than the first. Let\'s say that that the first took about 8-10 hours (shorter for some, longer for others), the second should take about, on average 12-17 hours the first time through. There are also various paths off the central one that might make it last longer.
Is the background animation up to par with GC RE remake?
Doug responds: Yes, in fact it\'s better. The water is actually an interlaced mpeg and it looks real, but the backgrounds are colorful and beautiful. Imho, they\'re better looking than the first, though they\'re of the same type, pre-rendered. So take that however you want.
What in your opinion is the games more major flaws, that should be taken into notice? What points make it stand out over the original?
Doug responds: Every game has some kind inherent game design flaws, and Onimusha 2 does indeed have some, but these flaws depend are more of taste and liking than anything else. Onimusha has fixed cameras, which bother some people more than others -- so you get attacked from around a corner when you can\'t see the enemy, for instance. Also, enemies occaionally get in your way, and you can\'t see your own character, which can be a problem. Onimusha 2 uses prerendered backgrounds, but that\'s a preference rather than a flaw, really, because the gameplay is fine, and the backgrounds look amazing. As it stands, Onimusha 2 is harder than the first; it\'s longer and it has more RPG elements, and so it\'s really a much better game than the first. So, few flaws so far that I can see.
We\'ve all heard Onimusha 2 is supposed to implement some RPG elements that will allow for interaction with NPC\'s - how deep is the actual interaction? How well did the elements turn out? Thanks, looking forward to this game!
Doug responds: The way you interact with the NPCs affects the way in which you get to the ending. The idea is to keep them happy by giving or trading with them things that they like, such as fans, beer, etc. It takes some time to learn what their likes are. Also, interacting with them is fun. They\'re a funny group. I would say it\'s moderately deep RPG stuff. The main interaction takes place in a pub in town. You can also talk to villagers in town, which is cool, too.
So far, I\'m liking what I\'m hearing. When asked about the flaws they almost neglected to merntion any which gives me a lot of hope. I\'m almost positive this will even outdue it\'s predecessor. :)

More important question: Is it indeed out next month, like EB told me when I reserved my game or was it delayed like Ebgames.com once said?
I can\'t get the same answer from either one.
