Title: Kingdom Hearts Better in English
Post by: Chrono on July 29, 2002, 03:27:00 PM
they made drastic improvements to kingdom hearts for the english people

i\'m just asuming they fixed the camera complaints
But they also, made cosmetic changes, added more replay value, Additional Bosses, Resyching of Voices, Extra Voices, and a Expert Mode.

Also,
Halley Joel Osment does the voice of Sora (you knew that)
Hayden Panettire does the Voice of Kairi. She did the voice of Dot in A Bug\'s Life and Suri in Dinosaur
David Gallager who appeared in 7th Heaven and Texas Ranger uses Walker does the voice of Riku

I knew they expected the most outta the english auidance, and aparently they are going to give us the most back

I believe that it is worth the wait for this japan released first games.  I mean they can make improvements such as camera angles and all that.

I cannot wait for this game, it just looks like something i would want to play.

My most anticipated game.  When i read import reviews they really only seemed to complain about the camera (and a few import problems) and it got a score in the 80\'s.  So this should up the score a little ;)

It\'s just a crying shame they couldn\'t use all that money to sign Robin William\'s to return as the voice for the genie (Aladin). Instead, they sign "I see dead people" , Haley Joel Osemont.

Actually, I wasn\'t on that crusade at the moment. Its just I saw a picture of the Genie in the game and I remember how excellent Robin William\'s did its voice in the cartoon. It would rock to have his voice in the game.
:D

Sonyfan, if you did any reading on this game, you would know its far from a kiddie game.
Yes it has disney characters, but thats about where the kiddyness stops.

Read the new EGM article for starters :)

Well yah, if they let Robin Williams even script some of his line, it would almost be worth the price of the game alone :)

Oh yeah, I forgot about that screenshot someone posted with Clowd sittin on the steps, all pissed off cause that Mermaid kid jizzed in his mouth. :p

But anyhow Chrono, jus for shits and giggles, how about you explain to me jus what makes this game "Far from kiddy".. or at least post a link to the artical so that I can read it myself.

David Gallager = Kiddy game.

But the storyline supposedly should b quite dark (at least for a disney type story.. guess that\'s squares influence)

what bob said, read the new EGM article about the game

Well, if you\'ve read it I\'m sure you can give me a quick synopsis of the artical. It\'ll be much less of a pain for you to summerize in a quick 1 paragraph post than it will be for me to take the 15 mile trip into Warsaw and buy a 3 - 4 dollar gaming mag... which I really don\'t even want in the first place.

Or CAN you explain how? Obviously if you know what you\'re talking about, then surely you should be able explain it right?

Ayup, that sure is a link. Too bad it\'s not a link to the artical in question.. or even to a gaming magazine\'s webpage. Tho I\'m sure EGM Financial Services could do wonders for my portfolio, I think I\'ll stick with H&R Block for now. :D Thx anyhow.

Oh yeah.. that\'s not kiddy at all. What was I thinking.

I ain\'t bashing this game, in fact, I\'m really looking forward to it. This whole thing jus started off a joke. It jus gets to me how some people will trash Nintnedo for their kiddy games.. and then are so quick to defend a kiddy game on the PS2... even going so far as to say that it\'s NOT kiddy.

It\'s a kids game.. a stripped down RPG "light" with Disney characters abounding. Jus deal with it.

thanks bob,
after this don\'t bother, he will have to see it and hear the impressions of many others to convince him further... all of which will happen after the launch of the game :)

Perhaps you\'re right. Although, if the game were as "dark" as you\'re implying, I\'m sure alot more previewers/reviewers would be commenting on it. I haven\'t seen any yet.. jus one person from a forum that Bob posted a link to. Where\'s Kokopuphz.. hasn\'t he played the game already since he lives/lived in Jp?

Anyhow, way to let other people fight your battles for you Chrono.

The North American release of "KINGDOM HEARTS" features an all-star voice cast that includes Haley Joel Osment ("The Sixth Sense," "A.I. Artificial Intelligence") as Sora, while David Gallagher ("7th Heaven") and Hayden Panettiere ("Ally McBeal," "Remember The Titans") will voice Riku and Kairi, respectively. Other voice talents featured in the game include Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings," "Rudy"), Lance Bass (member of *NSYNC), David Boreanaz ("Angel," "Valentine"), Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember," "The Princess Diaries"), Christy Romano ("Even Stevens," "Kim Possible"), Steve Burton ("The Last Castle") and Billy Zane ("Titanic"). In addition, many of the original star Disney voice actors are reprising their roles for this projec

Mandy Moore? Lance Bass of N\'Sync? Billy Zane?
That is some weird choices for voice actors, but oh well.

No, and I don\'t expect you to. You could however transcribe the parts of the artical which are RELEVANT to your argument or at least find a link to an artical on the net which corrolates to the information you\'re referring to in that issue of EGM.
