Title: TS2 demo on September US OPM
Post by: KillaX on August 04, 2002, 07:28:49 AM
man! they have let you go almost all the way through the level...you get to the top of the dam and it says demo over.......you have to beat a Chopper with missles I guess to finish the level, you get to control a turret to kill a gaurd.......look through security cameras!  MAN does this game Roxor! once you get the card to activate the power the battles really heat up....Figuratevely and for real!  thank god I pre ordered this game!  I think I did it in under 30 minutes too. and if you say you cant complete all but one before you get to the top of the dam you are wrong!  I found everything the only objective you cant do is beat the boss at the end on the demo.

Sorry Bobo.. The publisher here has confirmed that it wont be online in Europe. :(

Eidos (UK) has also removed the Online tag on the TimeSplitters 2 website.

However, ECTS is coming up.. Maybe, just maybe SCEE has a pleasant surprise for us :)

Here is the quote.

Egmont har nu meddelat att TimeSplitters 2 inte kommer ha stöd för onlinespel som det från början var tänkt. En klen tröst i sammanhanget är att det åtminstone kommer ha stöd för ilink.

Free translation:
Egmont has announced that TimeSplitters 2 wont be supporting online play as it was first thought.... bla bla bla.. it will still support iLink.

I was strafing like it was on a PC and the controls are very tight........if you played Timesplitters ther is no difference in the controls.

I just got the Ps2 version of the demo. Whenever I try it, it takes me to the memory card screen. Did I get a bad demo, or am I suppose to do something with the memory card before playing the Ps2 version of TS2 demo?

What didn\'t you like about the TS controls.  They are the same setup halo comes with pretty much.  Oh, and don\'t worry.  TS2 comes with many control schemes, hell the main one isn\'t the exact same as the TS setup.  You can pick, TS2 setup, TS setup, blah, blah, blah.

I have the Xbox version of the demo, but I can\'t get the damn Ps2 version to work. They\'re probably identicle in every way, anyway.

One version of TS2 won\'t be better than the other. They will be the same except for the controls.

"and the PS2 version will be on-line capable at release time HAHAHAHA! "

Which makes no difference to me. My net speed is usually less than 25 kbps :(

Well if you have friends that have a PS2 then you could play I-Link goodness.

I live in a small rural community. Most of the people here are more or less oblivious to videogames in general, but that\'s alright. I\'ll move eventually.

Even if your country cannot play online...atleast i will buy Timesplitter 2 for its I-link and snipe at my friends without them watching my screen.

Hah! this will be fun. I hope they will make Socom i-link capable too.

I played the demo.
Impressive stuff.. Very smooth graphics (no jaggies, no shimmering), looks alot nice than TimeSplitters 1, super smooth framerate..

Im very impressed.. And now I want to murder Eidos!
