Title: Monday Night Football\'s debut. Who will win?
Post by: Bladez on August 05, 2002, 12:46:31 PM
I\'m actually rootin\' for Houston since they are the new comers.  But I don\'t know since the Giants might have the bigger advantage.  Tonight is John Madden\'s debut on MNF...I have mixed feelings about that.  So for  football(American Football) fans who do you think will win?

hmm...i would go for the texans just \'cause i dont care for the Giants at all, and i would like to see how well this team plays.  They\'re supposed to have some talent.

YES. I was waiting for someone to get me started...

I actually visited some Redskins\' boards after that game and they thought they won the Superbowl. I\'m gonna make some quick points:

1. Preseason game. No harm done. FACT: The Niners lost all but 1 preseason game last year, still went 12-4.

2. Game was MUCH more significant for the Redskins. Spurrier wanted to show the world a few things, and they had guys competing for a starting QB job. Like I said, the game was important for the Redskins, not the Niners.

3. The Niners had their official starting offense in for only 7 downs, and their "official" starting defense in for only the first quarter. Quarters 2-4 were basically Redskins\' first string vs. Niners second/third string.

4. It was a preseason game.

So... when I look at this game tonight. I pick Texans. For the same reasons the Redskins won, this game means more to Houston.

True.

Mooch was smart enough not to reveal any new plays this year and did the same plays as last year.

Redskins will be annihilated week 3. Mark my words.

Mooch will also run the score up, come week 3.  He\'s none too happy that Spurrier kept passing in the 4th.  Here\' a prediction; Garcia 4 td passes, 350 yards, over 130 on the ground, and 0wenz will go for 3 td\'s....anyone else notice the similarity between 0wenz, and 0wnz?

Good pointz Omen.

I understand the game is pointless but come on, Spurrier was throwing it downfield like he was down by 50. Can\'t wait till\' week 3.... I hope my man Bryant Young knocks off Wuerfful\'s jock.

Shockey\'s great man.  Did you see that one long reception he had?  There was one point where he just pushed a guy over and ran over him.  That was so great.  He\'ll help that team so much.

But, yeah, Collins are Barber are in for one series, Carr is in the entire first half, and the Giants are winning.  Rah!

My boy Wells is running for the Texans so I\'m definently rooting for them somewhat this season but my real team is the Browns of course.

Spurrier has ran up the score on teams he\'s beating his entire career. That\'s one thing I did hate about him...no remorse. Which, of course, is why it\'s fun to see him get his ass beat, oh, to the tune of 62-24 by, well, I wouldn\'t want to name names...

*cough* AVATAR *cough*

See Yuz.

I could care less about either Redskins or niners, cause this is the Patriots era baby!
