Well, sorta. Shed off about 4 pounds so far, hopefully more to come. Finally, I am getting off my lazy ass. I\'ve been jogging alot lately, once in the morning and once towards sunset.. All I eat are tuna sanwiches and salads! Then comes the water, I drink a glass, sometimes more every two hours. Big ups to everyone who posted tips. I feel really good about this and hopefully if I work hard enough, I can get me some abs!
-
ah the mirracle of tuna, salads and water!
I\'m glad to see the results you\'ve gotten, it seems like pretty much every person that I know that\'s tried this has gotten great results.
keep up the good work.
-
Thanks for the encouragement. ;)
It\'s pretty hard to chow down on the salads, they suck. I hate raw crap.. Brocolli ew. Cauliflower ew. Cucumber ew. ew ew ew ew ew... I like caesar salads though, all greens.. Kinda fattening though, just gotta lay off some of that dressing.

ok, I am on a diet now since a week ; every day NOT more than 500 Kcal. I drink lotsa water and I run 5 days a week for an hour.
I lost 11 pounds in 7 days already. I can really see it when I look at myself in the mirror. I hope I can continue this til September.:D
-
I was going to say, you last a few pounds? What did you do, take your wet clothes off?
But I see you are making a knoble effort so good for you. Now go eat some celery!!
-
I lost 8 pounds when I started cross country. I only run about 2 miles every other day and I don\'t even diet.
-
I\'m trying to gain weight. I\'m as light as a feather. 110 pounds.
-
I find it funny how almost everyone is unhappy with their weight. Either they want to gain some weight or want to lose some weight. Very few people that are pleased with what they currently have.
-
fat and proud!
-
There\'s the exception. :D
-
im pleased wiyth what i currently have weight-wise, i just wish i could lose my little jiggle i got in the tummy.
-
I\'m also trying to gain weight, but i want them to be solid pounds, not fat or anything. Yeah, thats my story.
I wouldn\'t be able to go on a diet, i\'d be motivated for a few days, then I\'d eventually somehow convince myself that I don\'t need to do it, and I\'d stop.
-
Right now I really don\'t care about my "weight", because I\'m getting closer and closer to my end goal. I still need to cut by bf% another point, and cut my lower abs better. But other than a few little areas that need some more deff, I\'m almost at competition shape. I imagine that by January I\'ll be ready for the local ameture comps....well I\'ll have to go to the drug tested competitions, because there is no way I could go against some juice monkeys.
But until then, bring on the tuna, chicken, salads, and lotsa water....
-
I am right aorund 195 right now....still have a belly.........need to get my abs that I had back.........
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
lol, I didn\'t know I was the only one trying to lose some.. Good job to everyone. :D
-
haha.. congrats... all my summer vacation did for me is make me fatter... well.. only gained 15 pounds this summer so I and others would consider me chubby now.
-
I haven\'t weighed myself in a while. Let me check what I am now.
My scale is MIA.
-
i gotta lose some weight... infact i have......... must stop drinking as much beer
-
*BUMP*
Well, it\'s been a month, and I\'ve lost about 7 so ar.. Haven\'t really stuck to the tuna/salad thing, but I\'ve been trying and I\'m still trying. Hopefully by the year\'s end, I\'ll at least be down 15-20..
-

Very funny Samwise. Are you talking from experience?

I missed this post the first time. So how long are your cross races, I\'m a runner too.

so like how much did you weight before???
but to lose weight, you should eat more healthy, but more important, run, work out etc etc....
diets can be bad for you, cos if you aint eat enough, you body soerta eats your muscles, cos it need energy, i dont mean your muscles go etc, and actually get eaten, but you dont have as much energy etc stored in them, so you feel weak etc...
remember, you should alos gain some weight, cos muscle weights more than fat, but takes up less space.. so when your building yourself up ( muscles wise) if you get heaveier, its the muscle, not your gaining weight...
keep it up

:D Yaye ! I lost 32 pounds in a little over a month now ! Thanks to the diet and the running ! I really notice the difference now, especially how ppl act towards me. Instantly much more friendly.
Strange huh, what weightloss can do  to ppl\'s opinions on others.
btw, I noticed I HAVE to wear the belt of my trousers 1 or 2 holes more tightly, otherwise if I walk fast my pants fall off ! LOL ! :o

I would say its the other way around. You must workout but most importantly eat healthy. You won\'t even have the energy to workout if you don\'t eat in the first place.
-
i meant dont just diet, i mean t eat healthy , live healthy , and work out, you gotta burn those calories etc etc......
dont just diet, change your eating habits, and do stuff.. you get me??!!
i mean yeah you may lose weight through dieting, but then you come off your diet, you put it back on when you go back to how you used to eat

32lbs in a month?!?! You don\'t stick a toothbrush down a throat do you? j/k I lost 35lbs over a period of about 3 months but that\'s because I went to college and my broke self couldn\'t afford but a measley "Healthy Choice" TV dinner every night. I also ran too. That\'s good news to hear Knotter!
As for people treating you differently I noticed it too, that same semester I lost weight my roomie\'s ex asked me out on a date. Plus when I went back home my ex couldn\'t believe what she saw. I am a sexy Filipino machine (well not really). The only drag is that it\'s hard as hell to turn my 4-pack into a 6. Those 2 bottom muscles are really a pain to get into shape!!
Kudos to all those living a healthier life. *goes to basement and spends 4 hours playing MOH:AA.*

Nothing like a good Racer job to brighten a day. That was a trip.

Well, congrats to you THX  ! Yeah, the first 3 weeks all day meals were replaced by special diet meals, which means ; no more than 500 kilo calories per day. Plus I do running for an hour
4 or 5 days a week. You also gotta drink lotsa mineral water too.
About 2 ltrs per day. Right now I average about 600 kilo calories a day, which actually should be a bit higher up to 800, you don\'t want the body to get too accustomized to a low calory stream ; ye have to build it up slowly, still while keeping up that running exercise 4 to 5 days a week. Also it is very bad to sit too long. Don\'t spend too much time behind the pc or console. I am now at 184 pounds, and I wanna go to my ideal weight which is around 176 pounds. :bounce:
-
you ingest under 500 Kcals a day?
man you are asking for trouble, even though I don\'t know you bf% I can guess that you lean body mass will probably be in the area of 140-150 lbs, and with that amount of kcals, your at least 400 kcals below your maintness level. And to throw in the fact that you\'re active, your body must be going in to a catabolic state...eating muscle.
you may have lost some weight, and got results, but it\'s very unhealthy. Personally I would never recommend anything below 1000 kcals for an adult male. But then again, it\'s your body.

Well, I went too see a dietist. She told me my first 3 weeks were indeed a bit too strict. Yeah, like you said I oughta be averaging
about 800 to a 1000 per day. But 500 kcal a day is indeed the official diet, for the first 3 weeks. Right now I\'m doing 590 up to 700 a day. I still manage though.
-
ya i think 32 pounds is seriously unhealthy weight loss for the period of a month......but i guess your case might be an exception.
I used to weight about 180 pounds and i was only like 5 foot 6.....thats a lot of extra weight. In the past nine months i have lost 33 pounds and im down to around 147 and im now 5 foot 8.
btw knotter8......i know exactly what you mean by the new way that people now treat you...kind of gives me a new perspective on life.
-
Wow, 32?!?!!? holy man.. lol. I will be back again next month in this thread. :D
-
Serrano is that you in your avatar? If so.. losing 32 pounds might not hurt too much. ;)
