Title: Warcraft 3 problems
Post by: §ôµÏG®ïñD on August 07, 2002, 01:16:33 AM: Well, I don\'t need to really post this. but if anyone else is getting problems this may solve them. During gameplay u can get Fatal Errors. Even when u try to start up the game u can get fatal errors. If this is happening it may be from these reasons.
Firsty, Make sure you have DirectX fully updated to 8.1. Make sure your Graphics card is also updated. UNINSTALL ANY DIVX CODECS This was a problem i had. I couldn\'t figure out why my comp wouldn\'t run the game.. I uninstalled the divx codecs and i haven\'t had any problems.
There\'s also a Registry patch you can get if your using a AMD CPU and WIN2000/XP
Have your Motherboard drivers fully updated.. I\'ve heard SIS and VIA mb can have problems with this game..

This game has a lot of problems. I was really pissed off when i found out it wouldn\'t run on my machine for something so simple.

I\'m on a VIA KT333 mb, AMD cpu and win XP.. 3 outta 3 problems to have.. :/

Anyway, This game seems pretty kewl, from as much that i\'ve played of it.. :)

You gotta love windows... Every computer is different.

There\'s heaps of reports of AMD computers having strange problems with WC3, either it\'s a simple registry patch, removing codecs, Install Mb drivers, Install Directx8.1 etc. Mine was just the DIVX problem. I have all the divx codecs installed.. 3.11 4, 5.02 etc. :)

Other than that, Blizzard needs a way to improve servers and send maps to people.

Did get fatal errors when i tryed to boot the game.. That really pissed me off.

Damn Blizzard, I have a cable modem. How am I not connected to the internet.

I have Win2k, those DIVX things, a VIA motherboard, and an AMD processor, heh. Everything is updated tho....

Nope, its the same ISP I\'ve been using for the past 1 1/2 years.

I cant figure out the problem. :(
