I just bought my PS2 last week, It\'s model SPHC-300001. I\'ve noticed that models 350001 and 390001 are out. Is there any improvments? Will I be able to get these improvments through a firmware update? Thanks in advance.

the differences are miniscule and you gonne be hard pressed to update yer firmware (you cant)
why worry if you got a newer model?

Sony just put the CPU and the GS on a single chip (or something) to reduce production costs. That\'s all.

Not worried. Just curious. The model number on my PS2 also contained an r, i.e. SCPH-30001 r. I heard that means "r"efurbished. If that\'s true then I\'m worried.

No it aint refurbished, all new models now have an r at the end.

Cool, thanks.
