-
This is like the only X-box game that I really want right now.
-
I hope it\'s better than Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon! I\'m using it as a coaster now.:D Seriously, I never heard of Kung Fu Chaos. I\'ll have to look for more info about this game.

-
MM

-
lol, what sexual innuendo?
i was being serious
your tung shu = bad
-
no way, but ill show you cream of sum yung gi
We\'ve all seen wanes world mm..
Literal translation incase (i seriously hope your aware of what you just said):
no way but i\'ll show you the cream of some young guy.
Wallah!
-
what is this "wanes world" you speak of?
-
In addition to video games I like kung fu movies.
Well, well..a little investigation show that EmperorRob is a kung fu movie watcher!! ..very good robby. (yes im bored at work)
MM.. interesting that you have changed your name colour to orange from pink. But you dont fool me, i can tell your trying to play me... i aint biteing!! EVERYONE knows that film, and Wanes World 2. Search the net for it if you live in a cave.. Sheeeesh!
-
Try "Wayne\'s".
-
What were we talking about?
Has anyone seen the previews for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon for PS2? That might be cool if they can make it like the movie.
-
is there kung fu involved?
-
CTHD?
that movie sucked
pompeous attempt at eastern filmmaking
and to think that fool is directing "The Hulk"
-
mm you dont know a good movie when you see it!!
p.s The hulk kicks spidermans ass!!!
-
oh, i know certainly well a good film when i see it
especially, when it comes to eastern cinema
spiderman had sam raimi behind him, how could he go wrong?
the hulk has *shudder* ang lee
-
so u think u know eastern cinema huh? ...whos wong fei hung?
Good to see you acknowledge that the hulk can destroy spider man in a fight!!
-
please, you insult me
wong fei hung was a master arts revolutionary in the late 1800\'s
portrayed by Jet Li in the "once upon a time in china" series
i own them all on DVD btw
:)
the hulk would lose, he\'s bound by his might and weight
spiderman > hulk
-
Not bad.. but can you name the style he practiced? (this is pretty easy) ;)
And your comment of the hulk loosing due to his might is quite a contradictary statment. The hulk is bullet resistant and can lift 150 billion tons (an island to be presise... in this instance he saved many superheros) Somthing Spider-Man can only dream of.
The hulk would simply get more angry if spider man hit him, thus increasing his strength.
THANKS FOR COMING! :) :)
-
no, you missed my point
the hulk is severely limited in his movements
spiderman is mobile beyond the hulk\'s imagination
the hulk is also enslaved by his rage
-
Eastern martial arts movies OWN Western ones...
And Crouching Tiger is a movie only Eastern audiences enjoyed.
So, yes, it sucked...
And while we\'re discussing Chinese martial arts folk heroes, check out Fong Sai Yuk aka The Legend...
Other excellent choices:
Jet Li\'s Fist of Legend
Jet Li\'s Tai Chi Master
Dragons Forever - Jackie Chan/Sammo Hung/Yuen Biao
-
yes, i own all of those
lately, ive been collecting alot of gordon lui stuff
hence one of the greatest films in my extensive collection
(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.amazon.com%2Fimages%2FP%2F6305511705.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg&hash=0643f3e97068b172d1afecd93d61727afd7117a1)
if you dont own this film, shame on you
-
Actually I just watched "The Legend of the Red Dragon" last night and it was pretty cool. The kid that plays Jet Li\'s son is a little bad mofo.
I do watch kung-fu movies old and new and some later chinese cinema although I am not a fan of heavy wire usage.
And for the record I do not study Kung-Fu (it\'s on my list) currently. I study White Tiger and White Krane Kenpo.
And I am a master....
bator!
-
Let\'s see...
Is that Jet Li movie you\'re talking about the one where [sp]he is an undercover agent who infiltrates some crime boss\' gang and the end fight is on a ship? His wife dies and Anita Mui, the cop, is trying to track him?[/sp]
If so, then that movie is actually called "My Father Is A Hero" in HK and that little kid also starred with Jet Li in The New Legend of Shaolin and his name is Tzi Mui. Both movies rock.
-
yeah, that bothers me how they rename HK films when they bring them over
very irritating when i import a DVD just to find out i already own it, just under another name
-
There\'s another movie with Jet Li and a kid. Here in the states it\'s called like "The Enforcer" or "The Protector" I think. Could that also be the same kid?
-
Yeah, thats is.
My Father Is A Hero is renamed The Enforcer.
I\'m not sure what The Legend Of The Red Dragon is. I\'d need some kind of description.
The Protector is an 80\'s Jackie Chan movie co-starring Danny Aiello.
Other name changes...
Fong Sai Yuk 1 & 2 - The Legend 1 & 2
The Bodyguard From Beijing - The Bodyguard
High Risk - Meltdown
-
Legend of Red Dragon was about Jet Li\'s family being killed except for his son, Ting Ting. I can\'t remember Jet Li\'s name in this one. Anyway he has a special spear he fights with and he fights with that "immortal" guy who rides around in a shiny metal bumper car.
Oh yeah and there\'s 5 shaolin boys who have tattoos on their backs.
-
Is that Jet Li movie you\'re talking about the one where Warning Spoiler Ahead!
Like we watch martial arts flicks for the plot...
EmperorRob..
White Tiger; isnt that a style of kung fu?
-
http://www.heroic-cinema.com/films/miff_2002_volcano_high.htm
This looks cool
-
uGh, he mentions Storm Riders on that page
if volcano high is ANYTHING like storm riders, avoid it like the plague
-
Coke, so you like breaking bricks? Dim Mak away young man
-
mm... agreed that storm riders was a poor film, but this could be good.
Heat, where did i say anything about breaking bricks? Dim Mak is the death touch!!
-
Death touch?
Is that like Mr Spock\'s vulcan neck pinch?
-
yes EXACTLY!! How did you know that the kung fu masters 2000yrs ago copies Spock?... man your a genious! ;)
-

Ahhh, yes, thats "The New Legend Of Shaolin".
Excellent martial arts choreography.
Jet Li\'s name is Hung Hei Kwun and there\'s a really cute girl named Ms Red Bean and her hilarious mother.
And his son was supposed to be named Man Ting.
Stupid westernization...

/me finds new respect for ash lately

The way I understand it there were 12 original animals that Shaolin Kung-Fu was patterened after.
- Tiger
- Snake
- Dragon
- Eagle
- Krane
But that\'s the only ones I know. There\'s lots of variations of Kenpo which is a form of Karate. White Tiger is the most popular.
-
Yes, in regards to shaolin that is correct. However there are many other animal styles. Plus many family styles, additional animal styles, synthesis of styles..
White ape
grey crane
dog style
monkey style
**Styles containing animal sub sets like Bagua: horse, chicken, rooster + 9 more animals
white eyebrow..blah blah blah
Id say there could easily be over 250 plus styles of what is calssified as kung fu (i have read some reports of up 1500...but i cannot validate this)
I have seen a kung fu style of white tiger which has its page on the internet... i thought this could have been your school:
http://www.tigerkungfu.com/
But if its Kenpo.. then i guess not!
Also known as "The Emperor\'s Art," White Tiger Kung Fu has been passed down through the Doo family for nearly 400 years.
This above exerpt from the \'history section\' seemed to fit your profile.
-
The worst thing about bringing HK cinema over here is the riduiculous dubbing.
Keep it subtitled or you\'re just insulting them.
Lucky for me, I can understand both.
-
That\'s quite a coincedince about White Tiger Kung-Fu being the "Emperor\'s art". I\'ll look into it.
The creation of White Tiger Kenpo is kind of disputed as to who the original creator is. But I think that it\'s a style that was created in America.

I saw your head instructor trains Keith Hackney, do you train with Keith? From what i saw on the UFC that guy can hit like a mack truck!

Oh, I saw that in Blood Sport, it was a long time ago.

That\'s not my school\'s webpage. I just posted it b/c Tom Saviano is one of the people who claims he created White Tiger Kenpo.
If I trained with UFC guys I\'d probably have more injuries than I do now.
-
UFC? lol
care to elaborate?

There are many people who claim to have created the "White Tiger Kenpo" system. In truth, these systems are not related to each other. There are a thousand systems with a thousand names. Most of these animal names are nothing more than a school name. Most of the time, they do not reflect the style.
The system you refer too is actually called "Saviano\'s White Tiger Kenpo". It started as a nickname for his black belts given by Master John McSweeney, an earlier student of Ed Parker in the late 50\'s. Mr. Saviano liked the name and decided to add it to his school name. He changed it to White Tiger, originally "Saviano\'s Tigers", because he wanted a unique animal to represent his school and system.
Well that\'s the story. I know, I\'ve been a Saviano White Tiger for about 12 years now.
-
coke, ill elaborate for you
UFC = teh ghey
its worse than professional wresting
