I saw this show about Mars and how there is potential life (its an older show called In Search Of). It got me thinking. What if there was something like an asteroid (this is going to sound like Mission to Mars, actually the movie got me really thinking) hit Mars and dried up the oceans or the planet went through a drying phase (going to happen to Earth) and the oceans declined. What if some Martians fled the planet. One group went to another planet (lets call this planet Orion) and another group landed on earth. They returned to primative conditions on Earth and evolved into modern man. The UFO\'s are the Martians that went to Orion are trying to contact us and tell us about the past. What if the aliens from Orion are trying to tell us something with crop circles. Maybe they are telling us of an asteroid that is coming or of a potential phenomenon that will wipe out earth. Or are they telling us that our sun is going to suddenly become unstable and super nova. Or perhaps the crop circles that we have been seeing are an attempt to give us a map to Orion or possibly telling us about their planet. What about astronauts that visited earth in ancient times? Maybe they came to give us a jump start to help become more advanced.
Another thing I\'ve been thinking about are our "creator". What if we were an experiment to see what would happen if a unicellular organism was placed on earth? It\'s possible that this is where we got God from. What about the Gods living on Mount Olympus during the Greek times? Maybe the scientists were observing man and what we have been up to. Then the scientists left Mt. Olympus and started observing us from space in UFO\'s. Gods could have been taken from alien scientists using us as puppets in their experiment. Maybe God is just very advanced species experimenting with a planet to create life.
Those are just theories of mine. I don\'t actually really believe them. You\'ve already heard how I believe we originated. Life sprang up from organic materials in a primortial soup. The universe was created by a big bang. Anyway, just something for you guys to think about. I\'ll post more of my wacky theories as I think of them.
*looks out for clowd*

Our sun won\'t just suddenly become unstable. And it\'s too small to super nova. :)
And your theories arent really all that wacky, nothing that hasnt been thought up before. Also they don\'t really conflict with your "big bang" and "primortial soup" theories either.
BTW, it\'s not a theory unless it can be proven.. so stop mis-using words!!!

A theory is a time tested hypothesis.
-
I would think that if Aliens had the technology to travel all the way to earth and create crop circles.. then they\'d have the intelligence to learn our languages and send us messages that we could actually understand.
As far as god(s), I\'ve thought about that too. I suppose it\'s possible, but I still prefer to think of live arising from the Self Organizing theory since it\'s already been tested and confirmed that there is at least ~Some~ truth to it.. and it also fits in very very nicely with our ideas about evolution and natural selection.
-
But you are just making these up! They are not time tested. (even if that were the definition)
!!
Stupid wanker.
-
Then would you like them to be hypotheses?
-
I really don\'t care, I\'m just being an asshole.
-
I know. Everyone\'s like that with me. Ain\'t that right Kimahri?
-
stfu..!
Stupid wanker.

WTF is a wanker? Is it a British and Australian thing? :p
-
jas.. And it\'s funny to call american people wankers.
:)

i like that idea about orion...but why would they name it that.....and why dont they land their little ship down and stop sending signs.....?
-
I miss the paranormal thread that was before the forums were hacked WAY back.
I posted like huge essays about some of those thoughts of mine.

Orion is just a name I came up with as opposed to "that planet". I confused myself when writing this. So Orion relieves confusion. And it is possible they are leaving clues so we can figure it out. See if we could solve the puzzle. The crop circles are possible maps to the other martian world (Orion) but who knows. It\'s just something to think about.

I\'ve been thinking
Amazing.

Explain how electronic devices get messed up in a crop circle, how they are miles long at times (no one could do that in one night) and elaborate designs. Also, upon entering a crop circle, men get erections. True. There are shows on crop circles on the History Channel. It\'s actually a bit scary.

Lol, men get erections from reading the paper... so what\'s your point with that? :p
Anyway, I\'m not too convinced about crop circles. Should it be the work of aliens? Why the hell would the waste their time making silly symbols in a field of corn? Don\'t they have galaxies to explore or something? Besides, there have been numerous people coming forward and telling/showing how they make crop circles.
-
I don\'t really care about crop circles. It is possible that aliens are trying to communicate with us or tell us something. Who knows.

And from sleeping...
There was a show on TLC where a group of three men made a crop circle.
-
Yeah but they weren\'t as kickass as the "true" crop circles. My dad saw the one on TLC but I saw the one on the History Channel.
