Rice Microsoft held the event for the presses which brought together in a hall the new work title which is due to be sold to the holiday season of 2002 ends of the year "X02 North America" in New York on August 8 of local time. Ace Gallery used as the hall is in one corner of SOHO known for foppish rows of houses, and became the grand thing performed by engaging a quite large exhibition hall for circle one day.

At the beginning of an event, it starts from the lecture of the vice president for game contents of Rice Microsoft, and Mr. Ed Fries. While entertainment, such as a movie, falls according to the said person, it is said that the game market is continuing expansion and is continuing 20% growth per year.

him and his wife donated 20 million dollars to the negro collegiate fun (scholarships)

that was mighty white of him to do so  :)

BUT its tax deductible since its a charity, so all that money comes back to him  :(

beyond that, he deserves more pies to be thrown in his face

That Panzer Dragoon shot has a guy wearing a TXB shirt.

And Steel Battalion looks just a clunky as I thought it would be... I wonder how people sitting in their couch are going to play the game.  You probably have to strap the thing to a desk to something, sitting it on your lap will crush your legs.

There\'s nothing wrong with that Shenmue 2 pic.

Thats the Follow feature in which Ryo locks on to an NPC and follows him/her.

I am just glad a decent mech sim is coming to Xbox.  it will be a niche title, and I will buy it.  If its linkable I\'ll buy four.

I find Mechassualt to be insulting.  Its really too dumbed down for the Quake 3 crowd.... Mechs don\'t f*cking straffe (straif, strafe, straff,... sp?).  And something of the scale seems to be lost in the videos.

So Steel Battalion it is... at least for now.

You can all complain about Steel Battilion all you want , but I\'m so into that game. Than again, it does have all the makings for a niche\' title that I\'d enjoy.

Capcom? Check!
Overly expensive? Check!
Big, big robots? Check!
Cool looking controller? Check!
Niche title / low seller? Check!

Count me in!

I know I\'ve got issues. You didn\'t have to remind me, MM! :(

I can\'t help it. It\'s a Capcom game and a Mech game at that! It beckons me, I guess. I\'ve said since Capcom announced this game, that I was willing to pay almost any price that they wanted for the game and controller.

/me looks around room at all the overly priced items I\'ve bought because it seemed to be a bright idea at the moment....

Funny... how about a $400 video card?  I will often buy expensive things for the ultimate gaming.

I am quite poor, but it all comes down to being picky with my opulant purchases.

Ya see... i am a mech a holic, if I could afford a "tesla 4 mech sim" i would get that too.

Seriously though, PC gamers have no place to talk about expensive purchases.  (just upgraded... eep!)

LIC, just make sure you read impressions on the game before you buy it.. Gamespot is not so sure about it right now

Quote
While we saw Capcom\'s staff demo further into the mission, there wasn\'t too much more to show of the game, leaving us wondering just how much more there is to Steel Battalion.

If its a short game, it could be the most expensive few hours..

Fine but I did pay $100 to get a spankin new joystick when MW4 came out... so $50+$100=$150
which is around the same price as Steel Battalion.. er as far as I know.

The only thing I hope for is further support by Capcom... new campaigns and the like.  My Xbox has an 80gb drive so I am all set for their stuff.

80 gig hard drive?  ROFL!  did you remove the factory 10 gig one thats in there, and replace it with an 80 gig one?

i bet that $100 joystick is a dust collector right now, which it just about what the xbox HD could be doing for as much as you use it now

Well... actually I play MW4 often enough still to make it worth it.  Plus its good for... um... okay fine got me there.

But as far as the 80gig drive, well I\'m no pirate but there is enough cool homebrew to make it worth it.  Plus i can back up games I own and play them without having to muck with the disks.  One thing i like to do is backup demos I like offa the OXM and keep at easy access.  But lemme reiterate (I don\'t condone piracy of retail games)

its all a matter of value, some people think its not worth it... thats fine.  leave it to the fans of that genre.  for example I doubt many people who didn\'t like racing games bought the GT3 steering wheel.  But hey, that doesn\'t mean its not worth $99 for someone who enjoyed it.

im not suprised that the HD\'s can be swapped out , its a midget PC ya know

but i highly doubt that full games can be played off it

so you switched out yer HD?  kiss yer warranty goodbye

i do not see yer point of the steering wheel

i own a GTforce steering wheel that i bought to use with GT3, but guess what?  it works with almost 10 other games (and i only paid 60$ for the wheel on ebay), and i use it all the time

tell me again why its rational to buy a $200 gimmick controller to play one game?

But...  I only like GT3 out of most of those racing games.  It\'s just a matter of what you are willing to pay for the ultimate experience.
Also I seriously doubt the joystick will be $200 more like the game and joystick together.

And as far as the HDD in my Xbox... I am suprised, you haven\'t done your homework.

Umm... when did I say anything about piracy... other than to say I don\'t condone it.

You can run homebrew without being a pirate... or run my own software without being a pirate.  I just happen to like not having to deal with my disks, as my Xbox dvd laser is crap. and my warantee has been gone a while as I forgot where i put my reciept.

And as far as it being a turd, I m not going to be the first to buy it... I\'ll read the reviews first.  If its the suXor than it isn\'t getting into my home.

as little as i care for the xbox, we do not tolerate any discussion of piracy/modding/hacking/etc (even for PS2)

why else would you swap out yer HD for a larger one?  to rip more songs on it to use for 10% of the games that actually support that gimmick?

anyways, it is my opinion that paying $200 for a contraction controller for ONE game is foolish.  if you do not agree, then buy it, it makes little difference to me

understood,  I will keep mod talk out of my posts.  I was merely replying to your question however.

As far as the controller... well, i guess i have a soft spot for foolish video game purcheses

Saturn version Dracula X.... $110
TG-Duo Dracula X... $95
T-Duo Cd-system 3 japanese, to play Dracula X... $235
Phantasy Star 4 new... $99
Vurtua Racing new...$90

I am sure there are a few other opulent purchases if i think about it.

BTW i want to burn Konami for their abysmal port of Dracula X to saturn.   Saturn is supposed to be better at 2d right?  So wtf is this crap.

Slowdown in weird places, much worse load times... and crappy effects

IT\'s very Strange and WORNG to compare a OVER price $200 Gimmic that is designed to Work with one game.

with a Potential $400 PC upgrade which can be used for ....well All the new games you want to play plus it will make your old ones run/ look better at Higher Frame rates / Res\'

Fair enough, I concede that point.

It is bulky, expensive, and could be the coolest thing ever for fans of mech genre.

if it\'s good, hopefully its linkable, or at least online.  If so i\'ll buy more than one (if linkable)

oh and btw, don\'t put me into the same catagory with some of the other fans of Xbox.  I love playing my PS2, Xbox is just a flavor of the week.  The PS2 will still be there when I\'m done.  i am no Xbox fanboy, I have all the next gen and last gen consoles.  I got my PS2 on launch with 8 games.  I have been a member of this forum longer than most, though I still haven\'t reached 500 posts.  I am a gamer, and I will play whatever is good.  I know longer believe in brand loyalty.  M$ doesn\'t pay me, and Sony doesn\'t pay me... I will just say what i think will be cool, or fun.

Wow... thats what I love about the net.  It\'s so multicultural... sucks about the getting things last thing.
Does that have anything to do with converting the games to PAL?  Also, is it prohibitivly expensive to import?  And you guys need step down converters and all that also.
