Title: Konami finally brings on the 3d generation of PS2 software (behold SH3!)

I don\'t think I\'m the only one who noticed that PS2 graphics had seemingly hit a roadblock after last years onslaught of eye candy in the form of MGS2, DMC, SH2 and GT3. For most of the year I haven\'t seen a single game (released of announced) that improves upon the aformentioned titles, that is, until now.

Behold the SH3 trailer, all entirely in realtime (at least according to devs).

OMG would be appropriate.


I can\'t say I like the idea of a machine gun in Silent Hill, but I guess since the main character is a chick it is forgivable.

hmm, personally I\'m not too impressed by the graphics. Nice lightning, but that wasn\'t any different in part 2. Perhaps I\'ll change my mind when I see a few more vids...

Well it\'s still in development but it looks nice to me.  Besides more silent hill can\'t be a bad thing.

I never really got around to play any SH game unfortunately... I was quite keen on getting SH2, but then the demo turned me off. :( I\'ll make sure to give it a rent though...

Silent Hill  = Great.

Silent Hill 2 = Terrible.

Silent Hill 3, hopefully will redeem the series. I\'m not counting on it though.

Many games with sequels fall to that pattern i mean Tomb Raider and MK are two of the best examples.:(

I\'ve never played any of the silent hills, but I was wondering, what is wrong with sh2, and good about sh? In case I was going to purchase either one.

My computer is much too crappy to watch that video...

It looks good...but hopefully it\'s like the oldschool Silent Hill...oldschool is better...

If I remembered right, the original SH didn\'t have anything like that.  He had at most a gun, right? It was mostly pieces of wood or a pipe.  It\'s been awhile since I played it, so I\'m fuzzy on the weapons...

In a game like this, that\'s trying to make the player fearful and creep them out, you should only have weapons that would be readily available to you.  Things like pipes, wood, or a knife.  You should start out with nothing but your bare fists.

Unless SH3 takes part in a military facility, there should be no machine gun.

/me shrugs...

i just prefered sh more, seemed more scarier and more messed up....... it was way scarier, and had the best puzzle.. the piano one
