Ok, you or someone wrote a script about your life (or if you wanted...you wrote a screenplay). Who would you have direct it and why?
-
.
-
It would have to be Speilberg. He has variety and imagination that can get across the lightheartedness of my life.
:fro: toot on
-
I picked M. Night. He has a great style. Spielberg... well, he\'s great too. Perhaps a bit bloated, I dunno.
If I couldn\'t have M. Night, I\'d pick Ridley Scott.
-
john woo all the way.
-
Quentin Tarantino
-
My vote went to Ridley Scott even I like Spielberg so much.
-
Probably Spieldberg, he can make anything cool.
-
Darren Aronofsky (pi, Requiem for a Dream)
-
What about Stanley Kubrick?
-
I voted other. Kevin Smith get\'s my vote :)
-
im with nO-One.
-
I voted other...it is a toss up between Quentin Tarantino and Kevin Smith
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Stanely Kurbrick, Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher or Oliver Stone.
Those guys rock.
-
Mine pick was M. Night....i seen signs and his methods are genius. Scared the poops outta me a couple of times.
My second choice would have been John Woo.....cuz...woo his flicks are action packed.
-
Quentin Tarantino gets my vote all the way

The director of the Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, and the director of Lord of the Rings. I don\'t know there names, so, um, yeah.
-
jebus man!
m. night shymalan and Peter Jackson (respectively)
-
David Lynch
-
yes Peter Jackson is good, I also like Sam Raimi but only because I love their older films.
:D
-
i gotta go with kubrick on this one
racer: your\'e probably better off going with rogers and hammerstein

I\'d have to pick David Lynch. Honestly, the directors prechosen for this poll suck. George Lucas is not a good director. He may be a good producer and editor, but he is a terrible director and writer. For god sakes, before Starwars episode I, he hadn\'t directed a movie in 22 years. With American Graffiti (crappy) THX-1138 (Crappy) Star Wars (good with terrible writing) and episodes 1 and 2, I would not put him up top with great directors.
-
Spike Lee!
I don\'t understand what a director does.

basicly what you see in a movie on the screen is what the director saw in his head when he read the scriptso he has to figure out how to get his mental image onto film
theres so much more to it but thats about as simple as i can make it

Hey mm, surprised to see you didn\'t pick Kurosawa. :)
(hey, if you are able to pick Hitchcock, you can pick Kurosawa as well!)
-
was going to say stanely kubrik ( my god that is bad spelling), but after reading some oters kevin smith all the way
-
Why are you people picking corpses like Stanley Kubrick or Alfred Hitchcock? Might make for a slow film!
I\'d pick Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire, Paris Texas, Buena Vista Social Club, etc.)
