Title: urban legends
Post by: MPTheory on August 12, 2002, 09:20:00 AM
what is your favorite urban legend?
I think Mine would have to be the one about the guy that worked in the World Trade Center, and he was cheating on his wife.
On Sept.  11th he was at his girlfriend\'s while the towers were going down.  they were outside the city and the two had not been listening to the radio of watching TV.  When his wife called in a panic, he told her he was in his office....Which was on the 80th floor, meanwhile, shes watching the building go down in flames.....That my friend, is busted!

One of the scariest ones is the girl who finds out her roommate has been murdered and the cryptic message on the mirror: "Aren\'t you glad you didn\'t turn on the light?"

Imagine finding that in your house...

That one gave me chills the first time I heard it Ash....

I have always liked the scuba diver picked up by the dump bucket and dumped on a forest fire.

Poor fella.

Nah the scariest one is where that girl puts her hand under her bed and thinks her dog is licking her hand... She then hears drips in the bathroom, thinking it is a faucet she gets up to turn it off, it ends up being the blood of her dog that is gutted and hanging from the shower pole. She gets back to her room in a panic and on her mirror is written, "Humans can lick too", and there\'s this psychopath under her bed.

Well in the video of it I saw, the second she finishes reading the mirror she looks under the bed and he jumps out from it and the screen goes black. I\'m sure he killed her. Brutally.

how about the 2 idiots that went fishing with dinomite.
he parked his brand new jeep on the ice covered pond and decided that they were going to stun the fish with dinomite.  he lit and threw the stick, when his dog went chasing after it thinking that they wanted to play fetch.  the do picked it up and started running back to them so the started shooting at the dog with a shot gun.  the dog was scared so it ran under the jeep.  the dinomite exploded, his dog died and his brand new jeep went into the pond.

We have a local one where a guys pet baby alligator dies (From neglegence), and so he flushes down the toliet, instead of burying it. A couple weeks later he is taking a piss, when he sees something brownish green in the bottom of the toliet, so he flushes thinking its a floater caught, then he hears a gurgle noise and the gator jumps up and bites his penis off.
Its totaly fake, but kids keep talking about it.

The SCARIEST urban legend is...

Richard Gere likes gerbilling!

But seriously, I can\'t take those "this really happened" seriously, when talking about urban legends. Then when you ask the person he or she always heard it from a friend. And the friend heard it from a friend and so on.

You know, the sad thing is that the mothman warned him about that.
