Title: USA residents, do you know this coin?
Post by: Seed_Of_Evil on August 12, 2002, 09:36:10 AM
Well, i got today morning this coin, but the problem is that I cannot guess what president is painted in the coin. Do you know who is he? My candidates are Jimmy Carter (according to the year) or some Kennedy, according to the photo.

Well, here you\'ve the pic...

thats JFK, you heathen

John F. Kennedy  (shot heard \'round the world, well maybe not in spain)

and thats a bicentennial half dollar coin

printed in 1976 to commemorate our birthyear, 1776

kennedy half dollar coins started in 1964 but only that year had a different back, the other years had this

not a very rare or precious coin, but cool to have none-the-less

what about these?  susan B. anthony 1$ coins?
we call them "dike dollars"  *snicker*

they were printed only for a few years
1979-1981

susan B. anthony was a big civil rights leader in america in the late 1800\'s.  shes the one that got women the right to vote

i dont have nice cases like the pic above, but the coins are in fairly great shape

Don\'t worry, the coins are superb! If they\'re well packed, no problem.

I own 20 "dike dollars".  They aren\'t common at all except for a bank near by me gives them out as change.

A new quarter came out...don\'t know if everyone knows.  It\'s Louisiana.  Their theme is the Louisiana Purchase.

Yes Rya, i\'ll try to get the entire collection of quarters when it\'s finished (i don\'t know the exact date or year).

By the way, anybody knows what the hell means this status in a shipment? --> "IN STOCK AND RESERVED". This is because the silver dollar i ordered on 30th June, it isn\'t shiped yet, and the message I recive everytime i check my track order is that.

If there are in stock, why they don\'t ship?
