Title: Ok, Signs sucked..................*Spoilers up the ying yang*
Post by: TheGR81 on August 13, 2002, 09:48:57 PM: Ok, this movie had like 2 semi scary parts:

1. When the tape from Brazil and the Alien walks passed the screen.

2. When he sees the Alien in the Turned off TV screen.

Now those were the only two good parts

What I dont get is, when they first encounter the aliens, they are jumping all over the place, on top of the roof, jumping ridicioulous heights........ok, they have crazy ass skills...

And they are suppoused to be really smart:

Intergalatic Travel
Invisible Space Ships

But they cant figure out how to kick a damn door in? come on now...

And the worst part, their ****ing weakness is WATER?!?!

Come on thats the most abundant substance on Planet Earth

They wear no protection (body armor) and isn\'t water vapor all over the place on earth?

And he gets beat up by a bat.......

all in all, this movie sucked donkey balls

I dont know why its getting good reviews...

the baseball bat thing was just cool and a fitting ending shamaylan\'s way of showing you aint gonna **** with me in my house(my house being both the hess\'s house and earth itself) and the water thing well im not gonna try to explain this other than shamalyan must have a thing about water being a weakness cause it was bruce willis\'s weakness in unbreakable too

Post by: Jar O Pickles on August 14, 2002, 12:48:16 AM: sorry to post twice in a row but im sitting here thinking was the whole water thing dumb and was the ending a let down then i realized something this movie is a remake or a retelling of war of the worlds now nobodys gonna say the book was bad and i saw the movie many times when i was younger and it alway scared the poop outta me but this is just an updated version told from a less worldly perspective then aliens were highly intelligent in that too put they didnt realize that the bacteria in our air was poisionus so that made my think that they were strong when they first got here but but the moisture in the air weakened them so they couldnt break down doors and could be beat to death with a baseball bat
just a thought that id throw out there

They could have been Zombies (in case you didn\'t notice, this movie borrowed a bit from Night of the Living Dead) who\'s weakness was fire. But it makes really no difference, zombies, aliens, Nazis...etc

The movie\'s core was family and faith (or lack of) and fearing what you DON\'T see.
