Whenever I try to save an image with IE open..it will only allow me to save as a .bmp. I hav to open netscape, copy& paste the url just to be able to save as a .gf or .jpeg.
Any clue as to why this is the case? It never used to be like that. I dont kno what I could have possibly altered since i haven\'t done anything since Ive noticed this porblem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Look who\'s back
Sounds to me like you somehow lost your file associations of jpeg\'s and gif\'s.
CONTROL PANEL->FOLER OPTIONS->FILE TYPES
And search for .jpeg .jpg .gif
Just to make sure they are still there.

Thanx rob..JPEG was there, but not jpg..jpeg..or .gif.
How do I add them..as they instruct me correct BY typing in the new type? Or is there something else to do.

Well the process is slightly different depending on which version of Windows you have. There\'s 2 ways to do this.
1st WAY
Get one of each: *.jpeg *.jpg *.gif files.
Right-click on one of them and choose Open with...
This will give you a pop-up and ask you which program to use. You pick Internet Explorer and make sure the checkbox "always use this program for these types of files" is checked and click OK.
2nd WAY
CONTROL PANEL->FOLDER OPTIONS->FILE TYPES
New
Here you can change which program opens it by default (which you activate via double-click) and you can change its icon
I\'m using Win2k so if you\'re on something else your screens might be slightly different. Also when you are inside the FOLDER OPTIONS it will put all the extensions you enter in uppercase so JPEG is .jpeg
