uggg... you couldn\'t have picked a more faulty and corrupted sight than M$\'s own...
Socom will not be the only game using the headset, it\'s the only game known thus far, there will be more.
Also, it advoided saying PS2\'s online is free, while bragging about how cheap 50 bucks is.
I\'m sorry, you should know better than going to a biased sight like that.

Biased Maybe..... remember one thing Sony, itself, will not be charging for online gaming because they are not running the servers, it will leave it up to the publishers. By the way the only games that working for Sony online at this current time is FFX1 which run 14.95 a month in Japan..
So far one game that is compatiable with Sony online currently is charging!!!
By the way.. can you find anything wrong with the online comparison sheet.. These are FACTS!!!! not Speculation ..
I hear from all forums that Xbox Live will be charging $10 a month for its service.. WHERE THE HELL DID ANYONE GET THIS INFO FROM??????
And further more I went to E3 last May and attended the Sony conference, the kept on saying that they will not charge for their online service, but the publishers have the right to CHARGE what they wish because they are running the servers!!!!!
Do you actually think that running a server like this would cost nothing.. if you did then your an idiot.
A company\'s only interest is to make money.. nothing else and to give something away for free is ridiculous!!!

And are you aware that Micorsoft have announced that the developers/publishers can charge a fee to play it online with XBox as well?
PSO for XBox is one such example.
Someone close this thread, it\'s flame bait.. and this guy isn\'t too bright.

Bah, your arguements are flat and weak. Yes, only the "Facts" given a little MS taint as well. Instead of displaying the raw pluses and minuses of the network, Microsoft has gone out of its way to just list all the MS pluses that the Sony network will not have, but they did not do that for the Sony network. Besides that, just how useful are some of these features anyways? Lets take a look shall we, but first, I\'m going to enlighten you with a little something...

It\'s a fact that MS themselves have admitted to. Yes, it\'s 50 bucks for a year, that\'s quite commendable, but what if I don\'t play for that whole year? What if only one online game keeps me interested for a meer two months? What if that\'s the only useage my yearly subscription gets? Well, MS has you covered with a limited $10/month fee where you can play only what you want when you want for 10 bucks a month. I can guarantee you that MS will get plenty of people for that flat $50 a year rate come this November, but just how much will that change next Novemeber when Halo 2 comes out, which is the only other online game I am personally looking forward to besides NFL2k3?
You got to attend E3 and you didn\'t know about this stuff? That\'s pretty lame. Well, lets take a look at MS\' little comparison sheet shall we?
SOCOM only
This is a pretty shallow statement. They make it sound like Socom will be the only game that supports it ever, but it\'s funny how they mention that fact over and over again, but don\'t mention the absense of the 56k community, but still, it\'s but a minor detail and we should continue.
Single list for all games
How useful is this? I have NFL2K3 in my XBox console and I am looking for NFL2K3 players. What do I care if someone is playing Ghost Recon? I just don\'t get the point of that feature, but it\'s listed nonetheless.
Find Friends Across Service
This is always useful, but how can they be so sure that developers will not implement it especially since it varies by server?
Built-in Ethernet port
They list Gamecube as Narrowband only. That\'s pretty sad especially since they list the ethernet adapter in later portions of their little "love" fest. It\'s nice to see that they don\'t slyly slam just Sony with their little "fact" sheet. Oh well, to each their own.
I\'m not bashing MS at all. I think their online approach is commendable, but it lacks many elements that Sony has and vice versa. The two plans overlap each other with good features unique to their respective console. The sad thing is, the developers have far more freedom to build their network rather than succumb to Microsofts wishes for the service and that is something that Sega, a company who has dealt with online games in abundance before, does not appreciate.
