Is there anything else thats proven to work?
-
Well the USB ethernet worked for Tony Hawk 3 so I don\'t see why it wouldn\'t work unless Sony made their adapter in such a way that only it responds to their games...who knows till more online games are out...or you can try it with Madden.
-
yes just buy one from an electronics store......doesnt have to be an official ps2 adapter...........mm has proof.
Although, doesnt the network adapter for the ps2 come with some kind of software?.......or am i way off on that?
-
Yeah, I bought a Lynksys BBA and it works fine with THPS3.
-
yes, it works with tony hawk 3
i gave my USB NIC away a few weeks ago, so i cant test it out with madden 2003
yes, the sony adaptor comes with a software upgrade
-
I\'ll just get Sony\'s adaptor, free software never hurts.
-
Are EA\'s servers up? I wanna try it with the Lynksys.
-
Two questions. When does it come out? What will I need? How much is it?

the 27th of this Month for $39.99 , an internet connection (DUH!), if you use dial-up nothing but your phone line, if you use broadband you need a hub of some sort because the connections on the adapter are CAT-5 (Networking cable) and an analog Phone line connector.

chit..no USB? :(
-
dunno if those "non-PS2" internet thingies will work with the new games...but no....all the BBA has is a cat-5 and a Phone line plug........

Using Linksys USB adapter with TH4. Only thing to be aware of is if you are using a router, you may need to configure the router to pass gamespy information back by opening port 5150. You can get the details here.

I play Socom, Tribes, THPS4, NBA, TMB:O and some more with an USB Eathernet Adapter... there was one Game that didn´t work without the original BBA, but I can´t remember which one.
